The chopper landed in New York. Currently, the entire team was staring at a jeep and a bike. "Gifts from the BSAA. They said it's the best they could do for us, for now." Nadia said loudly because of the noisy whirring of the chopper. "Dibs on the bike," Leon said with his famous smirking expression which you found super hot. The jeep had a sunroof. Leon had the bike, and Chris, Damian, and I took the jeep while Nadia and DC were still in the chopper. You hopped into the jeep and opened the sunroof manually since the car wasn't a fancy latest model but still pretty good. You popped your head out to take a look around and saw Leon prepping the bike. He looked up at you and smiled while you just gave him an awkward thumbs-up and popped your head back in. You plopped down in between Chris and Damian. Chris was the one driving while Damian kept an eye out from the window. I was prepared to pop my head through the sunroof if needed.

"Depending on the situation we might have to put Rebecca on hold until we find that vaccine," Chris said while driving like a maniac... well that's what Damian said. Damian was holding on for dear life while you just sat there. After a little detour, we saw a tank with a red A on it. Seems like that's the virus. We followed it till it made a stop, it was almost the center of NY. we stopped the jeep behind the tanker, it looked like there was another minivan following it. Were they Arias's men? "Well, you ready to rock?" Chris asked Leon. Leon rolled his eyes, "Are you kidding me?" He revved his bike. "Let's do this."

Leon drove towards the tanker. He pulled out a grenade. He pulled the pin with his mouth and threw it over his head, under the tanker. The tanker exploded and a man walked out from the minivan but a bullet went straight through his head, right in the center. A perfect bullseye. Who could pull such a perfect shot? Nobody is other than our lovely [reader]. You popped your head through the sunroof before the man in the minivan could even pull something. One time Leon and you went on a date to a shooting range, and you hit all the

bullseyes. He was impressed and that made him fall in love with you even more.

Leon drove back to us. Chris and Damian had gotten out of the car while you were still on the sunroof. You climbed on top of the car and jumped off landing right on the ground behind Chris and Leon. Out of the blue, the minivan made a loud 'thud' sound. We all pointed our guns toward the van, there was something inside. Damian walked towards the van "Damian, don't!" you tried to warn him but it was too late. Damian opened the door and was knocked out by the force, there were three Dobermen inside. You shot one in the head but another had already grabbed Damian and... beheaded him. "DAMIAN! SHIT!" Chris yelled. We didn't have time to mourn his death. Chris and I tried shooting the dogs but they were too fast, now that I took a good look at them, they were infected too. We were now cornered by two dogs since I killed one of them. We both ran out of ammo and didn't have time to reload, as much as it hurts we did not want to end up like Damian. "Damn it! Any ideas?" Chris asked Leon. "[reader], come on," Leon commanded you to sit behind him on the bike. "Wha-" you were cut off by Leon "Shut up and get on! Chris, We'll lead the dogs away. You go and blow up some more tankers... good?" Chris nodded agreeing to Leon, you had already hopped on the bike. While Leon was revving the bike to get the dogs' attention Chris warned you to be careful, you nodded at him and Leon took off at full speed.

You held onto Leon's waist as he drove the bike like Batman on the highway. We dodged and avoided the dogs left and right. "Do you have a plan or are you just going to keep driving like Batman till we reach what, Boston?!" You asked Leon, even though you were being sarcastic, your joke started to seem more like reality. "I'm gonna grab you and pull you in front of me so don't panic okay?" Leon said loudly so you could hear him. Before you could even protest Leon had already pulled you. You were on his lap facing towards him. You grabbed the two pistols he tucked into his belt and started shooting the dogs. They were a little hard to shoot because they were just as fast as the bike. You were starting to lose focus. "Fuck!" you shouted as you missed another bullet. You felt Leon's arms snaking on your lower back. "Calm down," he said in a calm tone. You sighed and shot one of the dogs and killed it. You shot the other dog in the foot and then shot the banner which had the directions to Boston on it, it fell on the dog. Leon rubbed his palm on your back. "Good girl," he said in a low seductive tone. You could feel your soul leaving your body.

(this is a reference from an Indian movie called 'Bang Bang'. Here's a reference for ya to make it easier to have a vision)

Leon stopped the bike at the side of the highway, you were getting off to sit behind him again but he grabbed your waist. "I know we're on the job but hear me out for a second?" Leon asked with a desperate expression, you nodded. "I'm sorry for just randomly disappearing after I lost my unit. I couldn't bring myself to face you. I was so disappointed in myself that I let it happen. I know after J'avo you became good friends with Hunnigan too. She told me that you felt like a plaything to me after I left but I promise you that you mean this world to me." Leon told you. You weren't surprised because you knew every thing about Leon. You got off the bike, Leon got upset and waited for you to get on so he could drive to Arias's hideout. "Hey, stop sulking. I haven't said anything yet. We're a little far away from Chris according to the GPS so, continuing driving while I talk." You said, smiling at Leon. You were

already seated behind him so you couldn't see the look of hope on his face.

Leon was again driving like Batman through the city of New York. "6 months before the J'avo Outbreak, Captain Redfield had lost his entire unit and he disappeared from the BSAA completely, he developed a really bad alcohol addiction to the point where he gained amnesia and didn't remember anything. My mentor, Piers Nivans, and I found him at some crappy bar wasted just like you. I know what you feel like, during the J'avo when Captain lost his unit again I was the only survivor. I kept him sane. Captain and I don't have anything romantic between us. I'm more like a daughter to him even though I'm just a few years younger. What I'm trying to say is you should have given me a chance to help you. I'm sorry for not being there. I am willing to give you a chance to redeem yourself." Leon never knew you were this understanding. He didn't know much about your past either except where you came from and that you were in filmmaking school.

Leon started speaking... "I know you've told people that whatever we had for a year was just seeing each other but I know damn well it wasn't just that. I will shamelessly admit that I was in love with you and I still am. I don't care how toxic you call me but now that I have a chance to get you back... I am not letting go this time."
