"I told you I could do it," I stare ahead at Clarke and Finn who are waiting in the exact same spot I left them- both in which look mildly astonished to see me. I don't know whether to take it as a compliment or insult.

All four of us cross the pond to meet up with the two in front of us. Taking no time for breaks, since Finn and Clarke had enough of one, Finn stands up from his squatting position.

"Finally, let's go," Clarke says with no room for leniency while beginning to walk down the creek that was created by the alluring waterfall.

"I'm glad I made it too, thanks," I say sarcastically while following after her. Finn grasps my shoulder and gives it a squeeze of recognition. A comforting gesture which brings a giddy smile to my face.

The rest of the group is behind us girls. Clarke is just as determined to find Jasper as I am. Why? I have no clue. I'm the best friend, so who is she to him? Did she know him on the Ark? It saddens me that I don't know who my friends are anymore. Like I know who they are, but they were gone for two years. They aren't the same as I remember them. And after Monty and I's argument earlier it only confirms further that Monty is a whole new person. A person filled with anger unknown to me.

"Hey, how do we know this is the right way," Murphy asks, clearly bored of walking in the same direction and of the tense silence around us.

Bellamy responds, "We don't. Spacewalker thinks he's a tracker."

"It's called 'cutting sign.' Fourth year Earth Skills. He's good," Wells shockingly backs Finn up. Finn even left Wells with the devil himself.

"You want to keep it down or should I paint a target on your backs?" Finn observes a broken branch from the side of the ravine. Moving down, he crouches to look at something on the ground. Clarke follows him and they look at each other with the same knowing expression. The direction they were going was the right way.

"See? You're invisible," Bellamy's hushed voice says to Wells from behind me.

I look back at him, at most irritated, "Really? You're doing this right now?"

A loud and grotesque moan comes through the trees and cuts through any and all moods between us all. We stop right in our tracks to listen very carefully. Even though no one moves- not even a slight twitch, it is hard to hear anything around us. My heart is racing rapidly, the loud beating covering my senses.

"What the hell was that?" Murphy shifts his feet uneasily.

"Now would be a good time to take out that gun," Clarke nods her head to Bellamy before walking towards the noise.

Bellamy, listening to Clarke, pulls out the gun and walks after Finn and Clarke. I put myself in front of him, more curious about the sound than my own safety. Besides, there are two others in front of me in case things do change for the worse. My beating heart only encourages me to go on- explore the odd noise.
