“Let's play along with them. I'll make sure I'm defeating them in their own game.” Said the man who smirked evilly.
The fury he had in his heart for the mayor and his daughter, was undefeatable by anything else. Why? Why was he so furious about them? Because, Mr. Park was the main source for him to live the life he's living now. And if he was to go against him, he would be in danger himself. But still, his intelligence and tactical ideas were enough for him to escape anything or shoo away anything.
“The Mayor's no good. All he knows is to pull anyone down who's a threat for him and his dignity. He can't pull his daughter down so he's trying another way around. Cool.” Jeongguk spoke. He was frustrated. “He makes his men do all the dirty work and then puts up a mask of someone who cares for the city and country. When in the end he doesn't even give a single fuck about it.” He continued.
“Can't we do anything about it? Like is there any option on how we may avoid this? The clever girl asked you to marry her after all.” Namjoon asked. Jeongguk laughed. “Her? Clever? She's just being too full of herself. She thinks I'll give in. Nope. Never. I won't. I'll turn the table on her. She asked me to give her a public apology right? We'll see how it goes.” Jeongguk stated cunningly.
The whole day was messy for Jeongguk. He headed home straight as the butler came up. “Master? Everyone's waiting for your arrival in the living room. Please, follow me.” The butler spoke. Jeongguk nodded as he sighed. He knew what was coming up.
Heading in, he went straight to the living room. As the butler said, his parents along with his brother and someone else who seemed like an outsider was present there. He furrowed his eyebrows.
"You?" The man whom he referred to, smiled and stood up. “Well I had to come see my future brother-in-law.” He stated as he smiled brightly. Jeongguk looked at him furiously. But he remained calm. He smashed his anger deep into his stomach.
He breathed heavily and looked at the man in front of him. “What are you doing here? Jimin-ssi?” Jeongguk asked. Jimin chuckled. “Of course, to let your parents know that soon, they're going to be the in-laws for my sister. Do keep my sister happy. I cherish her a lot.” Jimin completed the statement as he tilted his head. Giving him a look.
Jeongguk understood what he meant. He was boiling inside to smash his good face. He hated the man. The Mayor and his children, he hated them from the deepest of his core. It's said that they're the beads of one rosary. Like father, like children.
Mr. Jeon looked at Jeongguk. He smiled at him. “Son? Why didn't you tell us? That you were dating Mr. Mayor's daughter? That you're going to marry her?” He asked. Jeongguk sighed. “I'll tell you everything later Dad. Let me talk to Jimin-ssi first.” Jeongguk looked at Jimin. “Can we talk in my room about this? I want to talk to you about something else too.” Jeongguk asked sounding as polite as he could. Well, he couldn't. Jimin smiled and nodded. "Sure, brother-in-law." He wanted to tease him.
Jeongguk gave him a look but took him to his room. Jimin grabbed Jeongguk's collar and bought him close to him as he glared in his eyes.
“Marry my sister.” Said Jimin as Jeongguk grinned before pushing him on the floor. "I would never." Jeongguk smirked. Jimin stood up furiously. “You have messed real bad for the Parks. So, now you will be the one to compensate for the mess you created.” Jimin smirked in return. Jeongguk chuckled and shook his head.
He knew it all. How the parks are and what would they do just to save their reputation. Especially, the father and the son. The ultimate duo they say. No one would ever dare to go against them. Because, if they do, then it would be the end for them all.
