13. Der-wreck of Emotions

Stilinski House, Beacon Hills, California

   Stiles needed the weekend to be here already. he was so tired from stressing out, but reality was finally kicking in. He was getting closer to accepting that he would be a parent.

   If the only thing he got out of this was that his heart was over, he could finally think and have his own emotions. He was taking a bath at the moment. It was a task to back up his leg, but it was worth it. He looked down at his tummy and touched it. He couldn't believe three pups were there.

   He gasped and grabbed at the tub as he heard the door downstairs slamming. Someone was running up the stairs, and it was a wolf, based on the heavy steps. "Derek?" Stiles said, alarmed as the wolf froze outside of the doorway.

   He rushed forward, not remembering that he had to duck down, so he bounced his head so hard that he knocked himself down to the floor. "Derek, Are you okay?" Stiles covered his mouth and laughed.

   He gasped as Derek scrabbed to his knees and leaned down to put his head under the bath water and put his ear up to Stiles's belly. "Is it true... it's true, isn't it?" Derek flipped his head to look at Stiles, splashing water into Stiles's face and making him flinch.

   "Uh yeah..." Stiles said, as he had never seen Derek this way, "Deaton said one was Theo's, one was Honor's, and one was yours..."

   "But how is that possible... I took that potion," Derek fluttered his eyes.

   "I don't know. Maybe I have to kick-ass eggs or something," Stiles shrugged. Or... you bought snake oil," Stiles said, flinching again when Derek hugged him. Just when he thought he could get some alone time to relax, "Honestly, I thought you wouldn't be okay with this..."

   "Why would I ever be not okay with this?" Derek asked, alarmed.

   "I dunno... I just thought that you didn't want any kids... since, you know, you took that potion..."

   "I was in a bad headspace back then... I lost my entire family and packed at that point, and Eli was the only one that I had. I was so scared of scaring Eli even more after I did the first time... I thought he would be better without me." Derek sighed. He did trust the guy, Marcel Howard, to whom he gave Eli. he thought he could always go back and visit and check on Eli... he never thought that he would abandon Eli for good.

   "Why are you here, Derek? You need to be there for Eli. Kate could still be after him,"

   "He is the one who told me I should come see you," Derek told him and kissed Stiles. Honor, Boyd, and Erica flew in hours ago to keep an hour on him," Derek explained. I know you are still trying to decide what you're gonna do with the pups. Please, please don't get rid of them," Derek said, kissing Stiles's face.

   "Do you seriously think I would have gotten rid of them if you didn't ask?" Stiles raised an eyebrow. He was pro-choice, of course, but he doesn't think he could ever do it. He wanted to be a parent for a long time now, but he didn't ever see himself having children at 18.
