"Fine! But I'll be the one setting rules, and you can't say no."
Taehyung said, making Jungkook jump up in glee.
"Yes! Of course, thank you so much, Taehyung." Blinded by his excitement, Jungkook pulled Taehyung into a hug, unconsciously rubbing his scent onto the latter.
"Dude! You stink, get the hell off me, dipshit!"
Taehyung pushed the overexcited Jungkook away from him, suddenly getting overwhelmed with the calming scent of sea breeze and peppermint.
All he wanted to do was place his nose over the latter's scent gland and inhale that intoxicating smell. Maybe he lied about the stinky part because he enjoyed how the mixture of those two scents wrapped him in comfort.
Most alphas had a robust woody scent compared to betas and omegas, so it was a pleasant surprise for Taehyung to get a calming aroma from Jeongguk.
"Alright, Taehyungie, if we are going to fake-date, you need to stop calling me names like a dipshit or any other offensive names."
"Why should I? Some people call their partner an idiot or stupid as an endearment. I can do the same."
Taehyung retorted, folding his arms, trying to remain unaffected by the way Jungkook called his name.
"If we are going to fake-date, we are going to need a contract. We should draw boundaries from the beginning so that none of us crossed the line."
Jungkook rolled his eyes at Taehyung's suggestion.
"Sure, why not. It's your call. Let's talk about that back at the dorm. I have another class, so I'm leaving now. Bye! Boyfriend."
Jungkook leaned in and pressed a chaste kiss against Taehyung's cheek and sprinted, cackling along the way.
Taehyung's ears turned a shade of tomato after Jungkook pulled that stunt. He left the bench and headed for his class like nothing happened, although he could still feel the tingling sensation of Jungkook's warm lips against his cheek throughout the whole lecture. The feeling of his lips on Taehyung's cheek remained even when he got back to the dorm.
At night, both Taehyung and Jungkook sat down at the table to create a contract for their fake relationship. Taehyung placed a paper and a pen on the table and scribbled an elegant letter:
Relationship Agreement:
"Rule number one: You can't let anyone know that this relationship is fake except very close friends."
Taehyung looked up at Jungkook to check whether he agreed or not and the younger alpha nodded, wordlessly urging Taehyung to continue.
"Number two: You must accompany me to the study group I have with Jimin and Yoongi every Tuesday."
When Jungkook frowned at him in confusion, Taehyung explained what he mostly did on those days.
"We mostly meet up in the library after our classes on Monday and at one of our houses on Tuesday. To work on the assignments and study."
"Why should I tag along to your boring study group?"
"Because I said so. I thought you said I could come up with any rules in the morning, or have you forgotten about your promise?"
Taehyung challenged Jungkook, knowing that he couldn't protest because that was what the latter had offered when he asked Taehyung to be his fake boyfriend.
"Fine! Then add another rule, you should come with me to my band practice."
"You have a band?"
Taehyung exclaimed, surprised at the sudden revelation. Jungkook scratched his neck awkwardly when Taehyung kept looking at him with a strange glint in his eyes.
"Yeah, it's not a big deal, but we perform at the local bar every Saturday night. You should come sometime."
Jungkook tried his best not to blush when Taehyung looked at him in awe after telling him about the band. Taehyung seemed genuinely impressed, and Jungkook didn't know how to act as he wasn't used to this kind of reaction from the latter.
"Sure, I would like to see how much you suck."
Taehyung laughed when Jungkook glared at him. He noted down the rule Jungkook suggested and moved on to the next one.
"Kissing and hugging are allowed if we're in public. If not, no physical interaction. This agreement will last only six months. Afterward, we will terminate the contract. Agree?"
Taehyung looked up one more time.
"Agree. Just add another rule. We have to attend social events and parties together. Only then Namjoon hyung will notice us more. And whenever Namjoon hyung is around, I'm going to be clingy on you, so expect that."
"That's fine by me."
Taehyung wrote down the last rule and signed it at the bottom of the page. He then pushed the paper toward Jungkook for him to do the same.
Once everything was done, Taehyung stretched out his left hand for Jeongguk to shake.
"Let's try our best to make Joonie jealous, boyfriend."
Jungkook chuckled at Taehyung's statement as he reached out to shake his hand. He hoped everything would turn out well in the end.
