Derek: Hey Mom, yes college is fine. No, I don't have a girlfriend. I miss you too Mom. Bye.

Logan: Speaking to your mom weren't you?

Derek: Yea. Of course.

Logan: Despite your mother being strict and not playing games she cares for you deeply man. I wished my mom cared as much as yours does.

Derek: Bro your mother is one of the best ones I have seen she can literally get you what you need. Not to mention besides her temper she's laid back. Yea, my mom has mellowed down. 

Logan: I know it's just. (Door knocks)

Chase: Here it is Mrs. Floyd Logan and Derek's room.

Logan: Mom. What are you doing here.

Jennifer: Well, I came to surprise you. Wow 1 month away from home seems you have grown some muscle is that a 6-pack developing under here. You need some real food young man.

Derek: So, Jennifer how is my mom and Erica doing. Did you finally get Erica apart of Young Lady Association.

Jennifer: As much as I loved to get them apart of the club. Naomi and Erica just complained about how the food doesn't look seasoned enough.

Derek: No way.

Logan: Mom shouldn't you be watching Jack.

Jennifer: Jack is fine besides your grandma moved in with us after you went off to college.

Logan: Oh

Jennifer: Look Logan, I know I haven't been around much especially with your father being gone. I want a chance to truly be your mother. How about dinner at Big Ace's Grill. To give us a chance to talk.

Logan: Unfortunately, I have plans to watch an action movie with Derek today.

Derek: It can wait besides we can reschedule the movie to Saturday.

Logan: Derek.

Jennifer: What a sweetheart reminds me so much of your dad. 

Derek: Your mother flew hours to visit you the least you can do is show some appreciation. 

Jennifer: All right dinner is reserved at Big Ace's Grill at 7pm. See you then. 

Logan: Derek why did you do that. 

Derek: To give you the time you needed with your mom. Despite what's going on between you and her. You need each other whether you realize it or not. You will thank me later.

Chase: So, what's with the long face. 

Logan: I'm that obvious aren't I. 

Chase: Yea. 

Logan: Well, my mother is in town.

Chase: Oh, yea who asked me to show her around campus. If anything, I'd wish my mother would visit me around. My parents were mostly on business trips.

Logan: Everything she's done is for herself. Anyways enough with the mom talk. Where's Sarah at.

Chase: Applying for Golden Valley Media. She's really set on becoming a journalist. (Blows smoke)

Derek: All right that is it. 13 colonies project complete.

Ace: Finally. We can relax, you plan on watching Injustice 2 on HBO Max with me.

Molly: Boring, I don't see the point in watching these silly ass roles playing. Same thing with the Clean Defenders. They are nothing except wannabe heroes who will never get far and only fool themselves.
