The Ceremony

*Stella's POV*
The whole room was quiet after Nick's dad gave that announcement, my heart was still racing and Nick was still beside me, I looked at my watch and it was 9:00pm which means it's time for Nick to find his mate, Nick's dad walks over to Nick to take him to the front of the crowd so his wolf can get the scent of his mate, as Nick and his dad were walking I guess Nick's wolf started messing with him because it wasn't two minutes after getting to the front of the crowd that he ran back to where I was. Nick looks at me and I look at him, he whispers to where only I can hear him "I found my mate" then he marks me and it hurt for a second but my wolf was happy. After Nick marks me he grabs my hand and leads me to his dad and his dad says "My son has found his mate you are all free to mangle or leave" then his dad turns to me with a smile and said "I knew there was something good about you" he gave me a smile and then walked off with Lucy who also gave me a smile before leaving, after his parents left, Jaxon and Leo came over to me and Nick and said "congratulations on finding your mate Nick, now you have to wait til Stella turns 18 so that she can claim you." I looked at Nick and he totally forgot that he can find his make and mark her for the time being but it all relies on the mate that is marked to make the decision when they turn 18 and I already know I'm going to claim my mate because this is a dream come true. I guess I was so deep in thought that I didn't hear Nick because he was looking at me waiting on an answer for something, so I look at him with apologetic eyes and say "I'm sorry I was lost in thought again, can you please repeat what you said." "I asked, since I'm single now do you want to be my girlfriend?" He said with a smile, I looked at him with a smile and said "yes" then I hugged him. It was the happiest moment of my life ever since my mom died and everything went down hill, my friends were happy for me and Nick seemed a lot happier than he was when he was with Julie, I know me and him can get through anything because we've been hanging out for a while now. "What do y'all want to do now?" Leo asked, I looked at him and said "I have to get home or I'm going to be in trouble." "We can all walk you home" Nick said with a smile, "I would love that" I said with a smile and then Nick grabbed my hand and lead me out the door with Jaxon and Leo following behind.
