The Wanted Mate

The next day

*Stella's POV*
I woke up early in excitement and ran downstairs and out the door, because today was going to be a good day, I get to walk to school with my mate and my friends, I'm really excited, so I wait on my porch waiting for Nick, Jaxon and Leo. I was waiting for about 20 minutes when I saw Jaxon and Leo running to my house with a look on their face that I've never seen before then not to far behind him was my mate and his ex girlfriend. My wolf whimpered knowing that she couldn't claim him, I look and Leo and Jaxon who are trying to talk but they're out of breath, but before they could get anything out Julie and Nick walked right past my house and while Julie was looking like she owned him, Nick dropped something on the ground before Julie noticed and dragged him off quickly. I walk off my porch and grab the piece of paper he dropped, i opened it and read what it said "please help me go tell my dad that Julie is controlling me and won't let me go near you anytime I try she always somehow gets in the way of it like she knows or something, I promise I'm not cheating on you, I love you dearly and have for a while please just help me" signed Nick. I got wide eye and then I looked at Jaxon and Leo, "go to school without me I got to go meet with alpha" I say to them, they look at me with a confused look so I just shake the paper I got in my hand and they understand then wave and head off to school, and I head off to the pack house where Nick and his parents stay. As I'm walking towards the pack house I didn't notice that two girls started following behind me, but after a moment I realized that they were behind me and I picked up my speed and so did they. I ran and quickly got to the door of the pack house, but I didn't open the door fast enough because the next thing I knew was the two girls jumping me. They kicked me, scratched me, and punched me, I was screaming and crying for help luckily my cry for help was heard by the alpha and I guess Nick's wolf realized I was in trouble too cause not only did the door of the pack house open, but Nick was running full speed towards me. "Get off of her" said the alpha in a firm voice. The two girls stop hitting me and Nick went around the the girls to help me up and get me inside, but before I could even stand with Nick helping me one of the girls punched me in the face and knocked me out and I fell back to the ground, the next thing I knew was someone picking me up I knew it either had to be Nick or David, it was probably Nick because I heard his dad tell the girls to follow him inside, I don't know what for but all I knew as that whoever picked me up quickly took me to I guess a couch so that I could lay there, after about twenty minutes of being carried inside and placed on a couch I regained consciousness, but I was still dizzy and still in pain I remember when I opened my eyes both Nick and David were sitting beside me. So, I went to sit up to try and ease the pain in my back. After I got sat up David said, "I'm going to go get the nurse, you sit right here and don't get up, you don't look to well" giving me a worried look, then he got up and walked to go get the nurse and Nick slid closer to me, "Stella I am so sorry for this morning, i couldn't do anything, and she disobeyed my father's rule, I really hope you forgive me." He said in a really sad tone, i laid my head on his shoulder and said "I forgive you, I promise" giving him a smile, he gave me a light hug so he was careful not to hurt me, I couldn't hug him back because I was on his right side and my right arm hurts to much to move so I just nuzzled him. "I would give you a hug but I can't really move my right arm" I say looking down with tears in my eyes from the pain, he takes his hand and lifts my head by up and faces it towards him, "don't cry Stella, I know you're in pain and it's ok, and I know you're scared too because of what happened, and you're probably wondering who them girls were." He said with a comforting tone, I nod my head and he says, "Julie found out about the note, that's why she dragged me away from you and your house quickly, I don't know how she saw me drop it on the ground for you but she did and I guess while we were on the way there and I was being dragged she must've texted some of her girls from her posse, and after my wolf realized that something was wrong with you I quickly told the teacher that something was wrong and I needed to be excused and I texted your friends on the way over here so they should be over here soon" he says with a gentle tone, after Nick gets done explaining there is a knock on the door, "is that Jaxon and Leo?" I questioned, "it must be, you sit right here and I'll be right back" he says with a smile, I watch Nick walk over to the door, and when he opens it, it's Julie, my thoughts roam where is Jaxon and Leo schools done already, the sound of a door slamming snapped me out of my thoughts, then I see Nick hurry over to me quickly, "Stella I have a feeling you're friends aren't ok" Nick says in a low voice, after he says that my eyes fill with tears and Nick's dad returns with the nurse who is going to take care of me. David notices the tears in my eyes and looks over at Nick, "Julie is outside and I think she hurt mine and Stella's friends because I had told them what was going on and they were supposed to be here by now" Nick says in a worried voice to his dad, David looks at me and says in a serious tone while gently placing his hand on my shoulder "Mrs. Jennifer is going to take care of you and I am going to go find your friends don't worry and if they are hurt I will bring them back here to be treated along with you." I try to respond but I am in so much pain I can't so I look at Nick giving him the help me please look, and Nick must've knew I was going to try and tell him, so out of nowhere I hear him say, "Julie came to the house and grabbed my arm and dragged me to school and the only reason Stella is in this situation is because I dropped her a note and told her to come here and tell you, so you would know what the situation was but I guess Julie figured out I left a note for her and sent her friends to try and kill Stella." I look over at him and he has tears in his eyes and his father says in a comforting voice "It's ok son, the good thing is that her screams were loud enough for me to come to the rescue and, I will make sure Julie can't come around you anymore." "Oh and one more thing" his dad says starting to walk to the door, "Stay with Stella and make sure no one goes out, because if someone goes out someone could easily slip in and harm her again and I don't want nothing else to happen to her." he says in a serious tone, Nick replies with "I will dad, don't worry, I wont leave Stella's side for nothing and I will keep a watch on the door. I look at Nick and say "I'm scared to walk back home when I need to leave, because if my dad finds out I didn't go to school he will be pissed and on top of that I don't want to get hurt again." tears burn in my eyes and Nick gently grabs my hand and says "You can live with me, we have a spare room all I have to do is ask my dad if it's ok for you to live with us, I'll help you move all of your stuff over here too." he smiles at me and I feel comforted, I say "thank you, that means a lot to me" as I lean back to rest as Mrs. Jennifer keeps an eye on my wounds and continues to wrap my wounds. About twenty minutes later David comes back and he is carrying Leo and Jaxon in his arms. I rush over to him forgetting how dizzy I was and almost fell forward as soon as I got up and Nick caught me as I went to fall forward and sat me back down, then Nick got up and rushed over to the door and closed it and locked it and then rushed over to his dad and followed him all the way over to the couch where I was and sat Leo and Jaxon down next to me and Nick sat on the other side of me, he gently placed a hand on my leg and said "I am so sorry this happened to your friends I never meant for any of this to happen, matter of fact I had no idea this was going to happen all cause you were my mate." he has a sad tone in his voice while saying that so I look over at him and say in a comforting voice "It's not your fault that all of this happened to us, there is clearly something bigger coming and Julie is planning it, none of know when it's going to happen, but it will definitely be when we are not expecting it." I give him a hug and he starts crying, while I'm trying to comfort him I watch as hope goes and tends to Jaxon and Leo, the look on her face tells me that it is more serious than my condition, because after examining them she walks over to David and I can tell they are talking about them but I don't know what they are saying but after a few minutes David starts walking over towards me, and he says in a upset tone "We are going to have to take your friends to the ER they're in critical condition and don't seem to be holding up well, I'm so sorry this happened to your friends Stella." He hugs me and Nick and then pick up Jaxon in one hand and Leo in the other and take them to the ER which is in a different section of the house. Nick finally stops crying and sits up and wipes his eyes I pull him close to me and let him rest his head on my shoulder, I let my thoughts roam and then I ask him "When are you going to ask your dad about what you were talking to me about?" and then I say "I'm sorry I am bringing this up I just wanted to know, just so I know when I need to prepare." He lifts his head off my shoulder and says "No it's fine to ask me, and I will ask him when he comes back in here because the sooner the better." He places an arm around me gently to make sure not to hurt me, I look at him and say "You can put your arm around me normally, my shoulders or back doesn't hurt its mainly just my head and my sides, from where they were hitting me." He looks at me and smiles, because he knew I picked up on why he placed his arm around me gently. "I just don't want to cause you anymore pain" he says in a comforting tone, "I know you don't, but I told you the parts of me that hurt." I say with a little laugh and then a little whimper followed after because I was in bad pain in my sides. "Take it easy don't laugh it will hurt you worse" he says in a comforting tone. I look at him and smile and then I ask "Do you have a nickname you would like me to call you because I am not good with coming up with nicknames" he looks at me and gives a little chuckle and says "We are dating so call me whatever you feel like calling me, if it makes you a little more comfortable I'll give you a nickname first, I'll call you pumpkin." I smile at that name and then say "Ok then I'll call you buttercup." He giggles at the name and we both just sit there with big smiles on our faces. After an hour or so Nick's dad comes back to the room where me and Nick were talking, and Nick catches his dad and ask "Can Stella and her friends move in with us, so that they are safe from danger, and getting any more injured?" I see his dad look at him and think for a minute and then he responds with "Of course they can we got three spare bedrooms, if Jaxon and Leo prefer to have their own bedroom." He smiles at me and says "Stella I want you and Nick to go get your stuff from your house and I want y'all walking to school together everyday and back from school together don't ever get separated from each other." I look at him and say "I will be sure to walk with him every morning so will Jaxon and Leo, and I will head over to my house now to go pack my stuff." He gives me a smile and I smile back, then me and Nick get up and he grabs my hand and we head out the door.
