"W-wow." I steered clear while Hae-Won entered with a large pot.

"Let's eat." She cheered after placing the pot down on our table.

We always eat dinner together. I can count the nights with my fingers when we haven't had them together. The truth is, we are virtually inseparable as childhood friends. In fact, our friends complain why Hae-Won and I are not going out. You might be wondering too.

"I want to sleep in tomorrow." Hae-Won groaned.

"You're only taking three courses this fall, Hae-Won. And you hardly do anything on Mondays too."

"That's the problem. There's hardly any work, so it's tempting to sleep in." excused Hae-Won.

"On the flip side, when you have tons of work you'd rather sleep in because you're tired." I said.

"Exactly." She pops in a boiled chicken ball into her mouth. I shook my head.

"Suit yourself."

"Anyway, it's your birthday on Tuesday."

"My birthday? What about it?"

"Nothing. It's a secret."
