Lunch time. I went to the cafeteria while unusually craving for soup. I wasn't particularly picky as I felt eating something light. But having soup felt absolutely good.
Hae-Won was with her friends when she walked into the cafeteria. When she saw me, she talked to her friends a bit and then they waved at her. I turned my head to the vacant chair beside me.
"Hey." she said.
"Hey." I answered.
"So... any plans for tomorrow?" Hae-Won asked.
"Well... my mom and dad may be popping in for a visit."
"Oh that's nice!" She laughed. "Big birthday party. Anyway, I've been asking around. I think I am shifting to a three year degree instead. When you said that you were graduating, it felt like I'm getting left behind."
"Left behind? What do you mean?" I asked.
"Well-- if you're graduating-- if everyone else I know is graduating, then I feel like I shouldn't be in school anymore."
