It was finally the day of Marian's birthday, she was so excited especially for the party. Since she would be able to see all her friends and family at once and she would get to dance with Robin too. Speaking of which she wasn't meant to see him until that evening during the party, however in that moment she noticed a piece of paper sitting on her dressing table. She rolled out of bed and went to investigate. It
was from Robin.

"How did he sneak that in here?", she laughed out loud as she opened the partridge.

Happy birthday!

Sorry I can't see you until later but I hope you have a good day until then. Can't wait to see you tonight princess, remember to save me a dance.

All my love

Robin xx

Marian smiled to herself as she felt her body temperature rise, he really was the sweetest, she would have to save the note put it in her diary, so it would stay safe under lock and key.

She then realised by the end of the day everyone in the kingdom would probably know about her new relationship with the rumoured outlaw, yesterday most of the castle picked up on it but word was sure to spread after all the other guests had left, she thought to herself. She only hoped it wouldn't backfire, at least for Robin's sake. Many nobles would be attending from Marian's wider side of the family, and because of this she would also get the chance to introduce Robin to her parents, however this also made her anxious, what if she didn't make and good impression or her parents had picked up on bad rumours about her boyfriend.

She sighed trying not to worry to much about what she couldn't control and continued to get ready for the day.
She went over to her wardrobe and pulled out the dress and slip on's she had picked out to wear that day. After she was ready Marian twirled around to let the fabric of her dress to spread out around her. She admired her reflection and how the rising sun reflected off the sparkles and created small prisms form around the room.
