Robin half woke to the sound of birds outside, he turned over slightly and saw Marian still curled up asleep facing him. He had forgotten for a moment about last night so was taken lightly of guard. He couldn't believe how lucky he was. He smiled to himself before drifting back to sleep again, but when he re-awoke he realised Marian was no longer next to him. He panicked for a second, confused how he didn't notice anything, but after looking around he found her on the balcony reading through her spell book on the white stone bench, still in her night gown as the sun rose into the sky.

Marian heard Robin's footsteps come towards her.

"You're up early", Robin yawned as he sat next to her and wrapped an arm around her waist.

"Yeah, sometimes I'll read through the spells out in the fresh air while no ones around."

"Like for one that will transform Durka back into a dragon for good?"

"Yeah, but I haven't had much luck", she shrugged.

Robin hummed and looked towards the horizon before turning back to Marian.

"I'll need to go I a soon if I'm to leave without being spotted."

"Yeah, I know", she sighed. "So are we just going to tell everyone the truth if they ask?"

"As long as I stay close to the King, just let them try and stop us", Robin winked.

"Okay", Marian agreed anxiously.

"Hey, everything's going to be fine."

"I know."

Robin grabbed his accessories, slipped his boots back on and ran back to the edge of the balcony wall where Marian was waiting to say goodbye.

"Sorry I have to go", Robin sighed as he reached out for both of his girlfriend's hands.

"I get it, besides I have to go and find Scarlett and help with the party preparations."

"Ok, perhaps I'll come back with a small surprise later to make up for it", he said as he tightened his grip on Marian's hands slightly.

"Why?"

"Just because."

"Whatever you say", she returned with a smile an eye roll.

They lightly embraced for a minute before both let go of each others hands and Robin climbed back down towards the ground. When he had reached the bottom Marian threw his rope back to him and blew a kiss in his direction before he ran back towards the forest with a wide smile on his face.

Marian then went back into her room and closed the stained glass doors behind her. She then did a small dance in victory, everything she had ever wanted, it was all happening so fast but she couldn't be happier.

But she now needed to go find Scarlett down stairs and help with her birthday celebration planning, but also to tell her every detail about last night as well.
