Once the film had ended, Francis saw that it was already midnight.
"I suppose you have to leave now, right?" Arthur asked him, clearly not wanting their time together to end so abruptly.
"Oui, unfortunately," Francis sighed softly. "But merci, Arthur, for everything. I mean it. I had a lot of fun tonight. I really did."
Arthur smiled, clearly thankful that everything had been a success!
Does this mean he will come over more often? he thought hopefully. Oh, I really hope it does!
"I'm glad you had fun, Francis." he smiled. "I did, too. I hope we can do it again soon. Maybe at your house, too?"
Francis looked at him with surprise.
"Really?"
"Really." Arthur echoed, his smile widening. "I bet it's very lovely!"
"It is," Francis nodded, suddenly feeling his cheeks heat up a bit. "I decorated it myself, actually."
"Then I can't wait to see it!~" Arthur told him excitedly. "I'm busy this upcoming weekend, since I have my family coming over, but we can definitely meet on the one after that!~"
"Oui, sounds nice." Francis smiled at him. "I hope everything goes well with your family. They sound like wonderful people."
"Well, we do fight a lot," Arthur replied, "but then again, whose family doesn't?"
"Right," Francis agreed. "Such is the nature of it, unfortunately."
"Yes, you're right," Arthur nodded, the two of them standing up as well. "Do you need me to walk you toward your car?"
"Non, but merci," Francis assured him. "You should just go to bed. I will be fine, I promise."
"Okay," Arthur answered. "Drive safely. Some people drive like maniacs around here this time of night."
"I understand," Francis said seriously, putting on his shoes and jacket as well. "I'll be careful, then."
"Good," Arthur approved. "Have a good night, Francis."
"Merci," Francis thanked him. "You as well."
With that, he opened up the door and left.
After he had closed the door, Arthur looked out of the window to make sure Francis had made it to his car safely.
He couldn't help being paranoid, sometimes, as so many different things could happen at night!
After Francis had driven away, Arthur turned the television off and made his way to his bedroom. He was so happy that their night together was perfect, and he couldn't wait to see Francis' house the next time!
He just hoped that Francis felt the same way.

When Francis got home, he suddenly got that strange feeling inside his chest again, the one he couldn't describe.
"Is Arthur making me feel this way?" he asked himself as he was still sitting inside the car. "But why? How? He has no reason to make me feel so...amazing, does he? Or do I....? Non! Non, snap out of this, Francis! You are supposed to be the flirtatious one, here! Not. Him!"
Right?
Well, he honestly didn't know!
"I'm too tired to think about this right now!" Francis sighed heavily, getting out of the car and closing the door as well. "I'll be better in the morning!"
