After the Rumbling

If you have studied the history of Paradis, Eldia, and Marley, then I think that I can jump right into the start of another woeful tale you won't forget. A lot of you will recognize me as Eren Yeager, the suicidal maniac who became a Titan shifter at age 9 after losing his mother and eating his father, became a part of the Survey Corps of Paradis at age 15, killed 80% of the human population to protect them, and 'nearly destroyed the world' to provoke my comrades into killing me and bring peace to all of humanity.

Yes, that's me, or that was who I used to be. That was my past life. Eren Yeager is no more. My new life as (Y/N) Reiss began after I had closed my eyes for the final time as Eren Yeager.

I'm not sure how many years had passed since my death, but I was reborn in a very modern and developed age of the world. I wasn't aware of my past life in my new life as (Y/N), but it seemed that some habits stuck with me in this life.

My new identity, (Y/N), is a descendant of one of my friends, Historia Reiss. He is a cheerful and happy-go-lucky young man who doesn't deserve to have his happiness and innocence taken away from the terrors of war. A lot of people I knew were reincarnated as my family members, or at least, people who had some kind of relation to me.

My older half brother from my past life, Zeke Yeager, kept his name. His name is now Zeke Reiss, my older half brother even this life. We have 4 sisters under us, and their names are Ymir, Sheena, Rose, and Maria. Sheena, Rose, and Maria are identical triplets, but thanks to their different personalities, we don't mix them up.

We live with our cousins, Historia(the second) and Frieda Reiss. Frieda, in her previous life, was the older half sister of Historia(the first, the one who became queen). She was eaten by my father, Grisha Yeager(who was also reincarnated as my father in this life). Surprisingly, Reborn Frieda looks like Before-Rebirth Frieda, and Historia II looks like Historia I, too. I guess they're fraternal twins.

The 8 of us live together, and our parents live separately from us due to their work. Zeke's already an adult, so there are no problems, legally, at least. It seems that only I had memories of my past life, unlike everyone else in our family.

"I'm leaving," I said as I laced up my shoes.

As for me, I am a sophomore(10th grader) in my high school. I am like every average 15 year old boy- I have friends, I have hobbies, and I get decent grades at school. I get up and get ready for the day, and I sleep for at least 8 hours as soon as I get back from school.

Zeke hummed. "Yeah, have a nice day," he said, not looking at me as he washed the dishes. He only looked over when he said, "Oh, and say hi to Erwin and his gang for me."

"Erwin doesn't even attend our school anymore- he's at your college as a freshman."

"Then say hello to his gang for me."

"Most of his gang will graduate this year, but alright. Don't expect seniors(12th graders) to not be that busy. Most of them will just say, 'Mhm, yeah, hello to you, too'."

Zeke finally made eye contact with me. "Then what about the Shrimp?"

I flinched. "Which Shrimp? Also, don't call them 'Shrimp', it's rude."

He clicked his tongue. "You know who I'm talking about."

Historia, who was finishing her breakfast piped up. "Are you talking about that hot Ackerman guy again? The one who's only 5'3 in his senior year(12th grade)?" she asked. "What was his name again? Lee? Lee- something."

I cleared my throat. "Levi," I answered.

I'm sure many of you are freaking out. How did Captain Levi Ackerman of the Survey Corps keep his name? We can just assume that even though he lived a good, long life, his depressed soul begged heaven for him to be reincarnated into a better world where his friends were alive and well. Apparently, if that were true, he was born as his own descendant with his name, ironically.
