The night before the wedding-

Y/n's POV-

The clock showed 6 pm and it was time to leave work. Even a day before my wedding, I am working so hard in this old government building. Anyways, my mom called me dozens of times to make sure I leave work on time and go home to prepare for tomorrow. I came down to my car and was about to start the engine but stopped as my phone rang again. I picked up almost in a few seconds without seeing the caller id as I was sure it was my mom.

Y/n- Mom, I have already left, I'll be there soon-

???- Sorry, Ms. Kang but I'm Dr. Oh from the Seoul City Hospital.

I was wrong. It wasn't mom.

Y/n- Ah, I'm sorry Dr. Oh I didn't see the caller id.

Dr. Oh- No, it's okay. Your reports are out and I want you to come collect them and meet me tonight.

Y/n- Uhm... Actually I'm getting married tomorrow and I'm in a kind of rush right now so...

Dr. Oh- It's important, please make a visit tonight.

His serious tone and words got me puzzled. I gave in and agreed to meet him. I drove to the hospital and went to his office. A nurse followed me with my reports and asked me to take a seat.

Y/n- Yes Dr. Oh, what is it? You even personally called me. Is something wrong?

I could see his face was a little pale and he and the nurse were glancing at each other suspiciously.

Y/n- Tell me whatever it is.

Dr. Oh- Is it your wedding tomorrow?

Y/n- Ah, yes.

I replied with a slight smile but his face fell even more and yet he congratulated me. This was going nowhere.

Y/n- Is there something wrong with my reports?

I asked as I had taken some medical test the day before yesterday as I have been experiencing a lot of headaches and hand tremors.

Dr. Oh- Actually yes. According to your reports, it seems like you have been suffering from Glioblastoma Multiforme (GBM).

I heard him but I didn't get him much.

Y/n- What does that mean?

Dr. Oh- You have cancerous malignant brain tumors, it's grade 4.

Y/n- Brain cancer?

Dr. Oh- Yes. You should've gone to a doctor sooner, your headaches must have been severe.

Y/n- I was busy.

Dr. Oh- If you had gone sooner maybe you could've been cured.

Y/n- Does that mean I can't get cured now?

His face looked guilty even though he had done nothing wrong and his silence was loud and clear. I nodded in understanding.

Y/n- So it means I'll die soon... How long do I have?

Dr. Oh- Looking at the size of the tumor and your symptoms, hardly half a year I can say.

I heard him and tried to seep in the information which was a little too difficult to follow. Suddenly a smile crept on my face confusing the heck out of the doctor and the nurse. And that smile turned into a light laughter.

Dr. Oh- Are you fine Ms. Kang?

Y/n- Yes, I am fine. I just thought of something.

Dr. Oh- You will have a lot of headaches, you might even experience motor function loss as your condition advances and confusion and memory problems too. You might even have a lot of mood swing and personality changes.
