Moving Day!

Lexi's POV:

The morning sun dazzled through my curtains with the sound of birds chirping in the distance. Slowly, I started moving the covers off me and letting out a soft yawn along with the stretch ready for the day ahead of me. Today I was moving to London to play for my childhood team. Excited was an understatement to say the least. I pushed open my curtains, squinting my eyes in the process from the blinding sun. Suddenly, I hear a knock on the door. I run over to it as I know who it is.

"Lena!!!" I wrap her in a hug as it is probably the last I am going to have in a while. "I'm gonna miss you" I said with a sad expression on my face.

"me too, but we can always facetime, anddd we will still be besties of course." she said smirking and making her way into the kitchen to turn the toaster on.

"want some?"

I nodded as I turned the kettle on.

Lena had now dropped me off at the airport and was helping me through security which all went smoothly. We sat down in the waiting area for my plane.

"I'm going to miss u so much." Lena said fighting her tears.

"awh Lena don't cry" I say as I pulled her into a side hug wiping away her tears. "like you said we can always facetime." letting out a laugh.

I felt her giggle as my plane had arrived and I needed to board it.

"Lena, I have um got to go now" I said sniffling.

"fine" she huffed." message me when your there"

"will do" as I turned around and made my way to the plane, I didn't turn back as I couldn't bare see Lena crying.

(At London Colonley)

I arrived about 2 hours ago and have signed all of my paper work. Right now I'm talking to Beth aswell as getting to know others.

"you played at wolfsburg!?, wow you must be pretty good!" Beth exclaimed patting my head as I'm quite small.

"I would like to think so" I chuckled.

I walked around meeting everyone else, exchanging hugs and smiles. However, one specific blonde girl caught my eye from everyone else. Her blonde, silky hair was in a low bun with her blue eyes sparkling from the lights in the room. Her smile was perfect. I got snapped out of my thoughts with her waving her hand infront of my face.

"Earth to Lexi!" she exclaims chuckling.

"oh sorry I got distracted" I turned away to hide my blush.

"anyway, it's nice to meet you, hopefully you will be a great addition to the team!" as she side hugs me.

"thank you,... Sorry I didn't get your name?"

"it's Leah" she replies smiling.

"oh thank you Leah, I better go meet the others, see you round!"

I walked over to Kim Little (the captain) as she was going to show me around the place. The decorations were beautiful and looked like the place was very well organised. She led me into the changing room as we all needed to get ready for training.

About 10 minutes later everyone started piling in. I hear a strong Irish accent shout my name.

"Hey, Lexi! Partners for training mate!?" Katie half shouts.

I nod a continue getting ready. I was somewhat nervous for it although I knew they were all a lovely bunch of girls. We walked out onto the pitch and started off with some stretches along with a few running drills to get our heart rate up. We then huddled up into a circle to go through what the session would consist of.

"So, girls today we will just be doing some partner work as in some passing drills and then maybe a mini match at the end. Now, all of you find a partner and start passing the ball with eachother making sure to move into a space after passing it." Jonas explains.

" right, cmon Lex" Katie places her arm around my shoulder and has the football in her other hand. We did this drill for about 20 mins until we moved onto something else.

6:15pm

I had just got home, and as soon as I had got comfy on the sofa, sweets in hand and blanket over me, I had a facetime from Lena. I swiped to answer.

"hey mate, you alright?" I ask waving

"ye all good, miss you tho" she says sticking her bottom lip out

"aww Lena, I've been gone like a day and a half"

"I know but-, anyway, anything interesting happened?" raising her eyebrows.

"eh not really, but I.. I uhm did go a bit flustered infront of one person I don't know her last name so don't ask" I say going a red colour.

"awww Lexi is getting all loved up" she says teasing me.

"right well I better go now, it's getting late here, ill text you tomorrow"

"OK, bye, love you!" Lena waves sadly.

"love you to you idiot" as I ended the call.

I stumbled up the stairs to see I had been added to the arsenal group chat by Katie, god she was one loud girl. They were spamming it like mad so I just decided to ignore it and check in the morning as I was shattered. I shuffled down the bed and instantly fell asleep.
