Going Smoothly

Today was the day of our night out we planned together the other night, however, today I woke up a little later than usual. 10pm, shit, I have the gym in 10 minutes. I jumped out of my bed and decided to just wash my face with some water, I applied a little bit of mascara, got my training kit on and sprinted down the stairs as quick as I could. Bursting through the doors I shouted "SORRY I'M LATE GIRLS!!" out of breath.

"your not even late mate" Leah pats my shoulder.

"oh" was all I could say.

Everyone bursts out laughing as I go bright red. Social anxiety really fucking hit me then. I sigh and walk over to the bikes. I see some of the other girls looking at me with confused looks on their faces. I just put my airpods in and zone out.

I must have zoned out for about 5 minutes as Katie came up to me and asked me what's up.

"hey mate, you alright?, You went really quiet"

"ye I.. I uh ye I'm fine" fuck, why do I have to stutter.

"you sure, you can tell me anything you know" Katie says as she puts a comforting hand on my back.

"no, honestly I'm fine" I force a weak smile.

"who you rooming with? I can make sure they keep an eye on you" she scans the room.

"Gio" I say barely above a whisper.

"OK ill be right back, and breathe, you don't have to be nervous around us." she smiles whilst walking away to find Gio.

I hop off the bike as we have been called into a huddle in the middle to be told the plans for today.

"Right girls, so today is just a really chill day to be honest. We are in here (the gym) for another half and hour and then we have recovery in the pool and ice baths until 2pm, after that feel free to do what you want. Oh and a little birdy has told me that you are all going out tonight, so make sure you have fun! But don't get too drunk!" the coach explains.

Everyone laughs and gets on a piece of equipment each. I choose the pull up bar and stay on it for about 10 minutes.

1:55pm.

We are gathered around the changing rooms to change into our shorts for the ice bath and pool. I sit down as I'm ready before the rest and just scroll through my phone. I come across Leah's Instagram. I take a look on it but not in a weird way... Anyway-omfg she is one fit woman. I find myself scrolling through all her insta posts, however not liking them as I don't want her to think I'm a creep. I get pulled away from my phone by Beth.

"right phone away missus, ice Bath time" she smirks dragging me up.

"alright Beth, be a bit more gentle, my arms gonna fall off!"

She just turns around and laughs. We all make our way into the ice baths at something in minus numbers. God it was freezing.

"right guys we'll do a questions game to distract us from this" viv says using hand gestures.

We all laugh. "Go on then start us off babe" Beth smirks.

God they're so loved up.

"Never have sex for the rest of your life or never eat chocolate." Viv elbows Beth smirking. Ugh.

"Well... I pick never eat chocolate again"

"I wonder why that is Beth" teases Katie.

"I have my reasons" she looks towards Viv.
