{Briar's POV}
Again, right on time, the lights turned on in my room and the door closed behind my sister who was up and ready. Swinging my closet doors open, Sienna picked out a sundress for me to wear. Still pissed at what she did to me last night, I shook my head and threw the dress back into my closet. I looked at her dead in her face and watched her as I stood up and pulled my own outfit for the day. She rolled her eyes and flicked me off as she walked out of my room, slamming my door. I laughed as I began to get dressed for school. I picked a black crop sweater and a pair of shorts, matching them with a pair of all black Jordans. Throwing my hair into a messy bun, letting a few pieces fall in my face, I put on a little bit of mascara and some gloss followed by my gold hoops and diamond studs. I also took the initiative to drive myself to school, I really didn't feel like dealing with her any longer than I'd have to.
First period was quite entertaining. I was enjoying it. But I had noticed that all period Flynn never showed up, which was unusual. I nodded at Cooper about it and he shrugged, not knowing why either. I sat closer to Cooper since it didn't look like Flynn was going to show up. I handed him my other airpod so we could listen to music together.
The class phone rang and everyone went quiet. "Briar?" I looked up, surprised. "You're being signed out." My teacher informed me.
Cooper looked curiously at me and I shrugged. Grabbing my stuff, she wrote me a pass and handed it to me on my way out the door. I finished zipping up my bag before I got to the front office.I saw my father waiting for me behind the desk. He smiled at me as I came around.
"Hey, why am I getting signed out early?" I asked him as I handed the receptionist my ID so she could sign me out properly.
"You have a doctor's appointment this morning." She typed in all of my numbers and I glanced over my shoulder at him, not remembering that I had a doctor's appointment scheduled. He motioned to the humans standing by the door. I nodded and took my ID back before saying bye to the lady and following my dad out. I hopped in the front seat, waiting for him to get in the driver's side.
"Okay, where are we really going?" I asked again, once we were safe in the car.
"Taking you to the Alpha Beta meeting like I did with your sister when she turned seventeen." My eyes widened and I began fidgeting with the door handle, trying to get out of the car.
"Dad, no stop! You and I both know about all the crap I'm getting because of my new position!" He locked the doors and pulled out.
"Honey, it's a tradition in our pack for the Alpha to take their child once they turn seventeen to one Alpha Beta meeting. There's no getting out of it." Settling in my seat, I sighed and changed the station.
"Fine, but I'm sitting outside the room with my headphones." I informed him.
Nodding he made a sharp turn up a dirt road. "Alpha's go first so all the Beta's will be out there as well. If anything happens, link me. My consciousness will be open, okay?" I nodded.
He pulled up to a wide one story building that had werewolves everywhere. Some were even shifted in their wolf form and stood by the doors. I got out and followed my dad. The wolves sniff each of us individually. They smelled my dad and they bowed. They smelt me, they bowed lower. Embarrassed, I quickened my pace and stayed close to my dad. I don't know why I get so shocked when I see that happen, they can literally smell it on me.
"Here, Honey. Stay here," He pointed to a bench near the back corner. I nodded and sat down. "I'll be right on the other side of this wall, okay?" nodding again, I took my airpods out and put them in, pressing shuffle on one of my playlists.
