(Au in which Sirius and regulus both ran away ITS JANUARY FOR THEM BY THE WAY! JEGULUS IS INCLUDED IN THIS ONE AS WELL)
SIRIUS POV
"Siri it's cold and dark!" I look behind me at my little brother who is shivering and still crying from what happened earlier. "Oh Reggie..come here." Regulus hesitates a bit and it breaks my heart when he doesn't come to me. "I won't hurt you I promise..I'm not like them!" "I'm scared!" "I know..but you can trust me okay..?"

Regulus looks at me for a minute before throwing himself on me. I wrap my arms around him in a very tight hug. "I love you okay..we are gonna be safe from now on I promise I will always protect you!" "I love you too Siri." I take my leather jacket off and put it on him, he already has my hoodie my shirt everything I could take off to get him warmer. Regulus is smaller than me..he gets cold quicker and he's very very prone to getting sick, so I am trying my best to prevent that from happening.

I tuck him under my arm as I continue walking to the only place I know we can reach on foot in the cold weather..the potter's. I have actually been moving some of our stuff in a little at a time so our parents wouldn't notice our stuff going missing to quickly. I didn't get all of it..my mother tried to crucio regulus tonight, that was my breaking point I just forgot our other stuff and we left.

"S-sirius?" "Yeah Reggie?" I look down at him and he's shivering more. "M-my feet are so cold!" I look down and finally realize he doesn't have shoes on. We are up to our knees in snow right now. "Oh Reggie!" I stop walking and bend down a bit. "Come on jump on my back..it's alright I'll get us somewhere safe I promise." I hear him let out a loud sob and he jumps on my back. I grab his legs and hold him up as I continue walking. We are a little over halfway there now.

"S-Sirius we've been walking for two hours!" "I know I know..it's not much further." "It's s-so cold." I hear him sneeze and that's when the panic sets in. I start walking faster and faster with every sneeze and sniffle. "You just hang in there ok I got us reg!" "O-ok..I want James?" "I know—..huh?" Why would he want James from my understanding he hates James. "N-not the b-best time but we are kinda dating..I'm sorry for not telling y-you!"

I sigh, this is not the time for this we can talk about it later when we are safe and warm. "Oh..does he treat you well?" "Sirius..it's James..of course he does!" I notice his stuttering slowly going away..good we can talk about James to keep him distracted from the cold! "Yeah..been on any dates?" "Mhm! He took me to a pond one time near his house!" "Reg..you can't swim?" "James is teaching me!" I smile at that, I would have taught him myself but he's so hardheaded it was impossible!

"Good! Ok about..three miles left!" "That's really far." "No no it isn't I promise I got this!" He nods and I feel his head lean against my shoulder. "I'm sleepy siri?" "No no don't sleep ok! I need you to stay awake so you can greet James and his mom and dad alright they are all going to be so happy to see you!" "But..I'm so sleepy and cold." Oh Merlin..no I can't let him sleep..we are under some trees now..the snow isn't that bad. "Ok Um Reggie you are getting a bit heavy." "Oh..I'm sorry." "No nothing to apologize for!"

I sit him down and we continue walking and talking about James and Remus. He wasn't getting heavy..he's so skinny I could probably carry him forever! I just want him to stay awake..I can't risk him falling asleep and not waking up again because of the cold. After a few more miles he starts crying harder. "W-we aren't gonna make it!" "Yes we are reg I promise you we will make it!"

"Ok this is their road reg!" "Mhm!" Before I know it we are running down the road to their door. Him on my back again since the snow got much deeper and he doesn't have shoes on.

When we get to the door I start beating on it. It opens after a few seconds and I hear James yell as I collapse to the ground with a sleeping regulus on my back. See..I jumped in front of him when mom tried to crucio him..so it got me instead. I've been in agonizing pain this whole time but reg is more important. "MOTHER FATHER HURRY REMUS!!" I hear running and yelling then it all goes black.

I wake up incredibly warm and comfy. I open my eyes and see regulus asleep on my chest. My eyes fill with tears when he sniffles in his sleep. I wrap my arms around him protectively and look around. Oh..they laid us on the couch close to the fireplace and covered us up with a thick blanket.

I hear some noise from the kitchen then I hear whispering as Remus and James walk into the living room. "James—SIRIUS!" James looks over as Remus yells my name. They both run over to me and I break down in tears. "I'm sorry I'm sorry I didn't know what to do or where to go I just couldn't let her hurt Reggie!" "Oh baby honey no shh it's ok why are you sorry!" "Padfoot it's ok!"

They both try to calm me down but I end up waking regulus up and he starts crying too. "I'm sorry Jamie!" "No baby no please don't be sorry you have nothing to be sorry for!" Our boyfriends try their best to calm us down but then Mama Potter steps in and within a few minutes we are both completely calm. "There we go..now you to go make hot chocolate for our new sons!" "Mom..me and reg are dating that's not going to work!" "Son in laws!" "..Ok better!" They run off and I notice Regulus blushing. I smile softly and bump our shoulders together. "I told you we'd make it huh?"  "Yeah..I guess you did."

I lean over and hug him tightly. He hugs me back and I kiss his head in a protective brother way when James walks in. He gulps and hands regulus a cup of hot chocolate, Remus gives me a cup. "Thank you!" "Yeah thanks!" "Anytime boys..anytime!" I smile at James's mom(I'm so sorry I forgot her name if she even has one!)

Something tells me things are going to get better..way better!
