I'm walking down the concrete sidewalks of NY while the raindrops fall constantly in front of me, making sounds as they hit the hard ground. I've always been one of those people who liked rain. It reminds me of emotions just falling from the dark clouds that hover above me. I keep walking through the rain while listening to the cars drive past. I get to the end of the street and stand at the silver streetlight that stands at the end. I sigh and wait. Austin was supposed to pick me up today from work to go to the mall. I work at a small café for only 10$ an hour. If I had a choice I wouldn't work at all, but my mom said that if I wanted to go to college I would have to pay for some of it.
After about 3 more minutes of waiting a car pulls up in front of me with the one face that I always love to see, Austin's. I open up the metal door and jump into the seat. "Hey!" I say and slam the door shut after me. "Hey, how was work?" He asks with a slight smile. “Just the regular.” I sigh and look out the window. “Hey, don’t be so down. After all, school’s almost out.” He said and grabs my hand with his. I smile and look at him, he always makes me feel better when I’m down. That’s why I love him. Yes, yes, I know that when you’re a teenager you think you’re ‘in love’ meanwhile they only last a few days or weeks. But honestly, I think he’s the one. We’ve been through so much together it’s not even funny. Definitely not funny…
And by now I know you’re probably thinking “What happened?” Well that’s a long story, but I guess I’ll tell you,
It happened a few years ago…
