Class is so boring right now. All we're doing is talking about random stuff and gossip. And when I say 'we' I actually mean everyone else. I still don't have any friends to talk to and i'm not really the outgoing type. I just sit here at my desk looking out the window while the birds fly in many different directions. I've always loved the outdoors, which makes me can't wait to get out of here even more. I thoughts get interupted by the loud bell sounding the end of school. I gather my things and it takes me about 5 minutes to quickly get my backpack and head out of the school. Once I reach the front doors I hear someone calling my name- "Melody!" Confused, I turn around to be face to face with the same boy that was looking at me in class. "Yeah?" I say. "Do you walk home?" "Uh- no. My mom is picking me up. Why?" I reply. "Oh.. I just wanted to ask because you're new and everything.." He says softly. I nod. "I'm Austin by the way." He adds on. I smile. When I was younger and I had my little fantasies I use to always say I would name my son that. "I like that name." "Thanks." He says with a huge smile. He's actually really easy to talk to, things I like in people.
"Well, I guess i'll talk to you later," I say. His smile fades. "Okay, i'll talk to you later, text me." He hands me his number and I nod. "I will, see you later- Austin," I say and walk out the doors.
After my mom drives me home I jump out quickly and slam the door. "Woah, slow down there," she says getting out. "Sorry mom!"
"Did you either have a good day or you hated it so much you can't wait to get home?" she asks unevenly. I laugh a bit. "It was alright I guess."
I head into the big house that we now lived in and headed up the stairs. I haven't actually seen my room yet, I slept on the couch last night while Dad finished it up. I take a deep breath and open up the door slowly to reveal my new room:
It's amazing.
I walk in and set my bag down near the window.
I smile crept its way onto my face as I make my way around the room.
"Like it?"
I turn around to see my dad leaning against the side of the door frame.
"I love it!" I jump over to my dad and give him a huge hug, "Thanks dad."
"Anything for you sweetie. Now maybe you should get your homework done."
"I guess so," I reply.
I unwrap him from the hug and he leaves.
I walk back over to my bag and instead of doing my homework right away, I take out my phone and the number Austin gave me.

A/N: Sorry these chapters are really short, I like doing them like that. But if it bothers anyone, I can make them in longer portions.
