Colby broke into a sprint, running back out of the alleyway and onto the streets. He could see the group had gotten a fair distance away from him, so he cupped his hands around his mouth in hopes his voice would carry. "Guys!"
They all turned around, and Joseph groaned. "So he is still alive."
"What if we just pretend we don't know him and keep walking." Jonathan threw the idea out there. "I'd say he burns out before catching up to us and gives up."
Jonathan laughed with Joseph before adding to his statement. "That or I might get to watch him fall on his face."
"I found her!" Colby called out when the group seemed to be discussing something amongst themselves.
A smile overtook Pamela's face as she started walking towards Colby, promptly glaring at the two men. "Knock it off."
"No fucking way." Jonathan shook his head. "We all know he's a liar."
Mercedes ran her shoulder into Jonathan as she followed Pamela, letting herself smirk a little all the while. She turned towards them and walked backwards. "I dunno, he's seeming to fare out better than you two tonight."
"Don't let him charm you, Varnado." Joseph rolled his eyes. "We were all blinded by his antics at one point."
"I'm not sayin you gotta love him." She admitted as she continued walking. "Just respect that he's open to trying."
The next thing the group knew, they were also staring into the window of the hole-in-the-wall club, and Jonathan immediately broke out into hysterics. "What. The. Fuck."
The scene was set, and if they were being honest, it was almost like it was pulled out of a movie. They watched as Rebecca sauntered around a large metal pole on top of a stage. Cigarette hanging out of her mouth, shot glass in her hand, hair a mess, all without a care in the world.
"Oh my God." Pamela immediately tried to rush in to grab Rebecca but was promptly stopped by a bouncer.
"Sorry, can't let you in." He stopped her, standing in the doorway. "Unless you're on the guest list."
"Listen, we're just trying to grab our friend and go." Pamela pleaded as she pointed to Rebecca in the window, and the bouncer spared a glance. "She's not... of right mind right now."
"Rules are rules." The bouncer shrugged, and Pamela turned to the guys with desperation in her eyes.
"Wait... how the hell did she get in then?" Jonathan suddenly spoke up. "Because I know she wasn't on no damn VIP list."
"Can't disclose." The bouncer smirked, and it told them everything they needed to know. Colby couldn't help but stretch out his hands and neck to try and release some tension and sudden anger within him.
"Listen here fuckface." Mercedes spat, standing in front of the bouncer without hesitance. "You either let us in, or I'll take the knife outta my pocket and put it to use so we can see how you like it rammed up your balls."
"I second that." Jonathan added, and Colby took a minute to appreciate the support they all showed one another, no matter the circumstance.
The bouncer was a pretty large man, but when Joseph stepped in front of him, even he seemed to realize how he couldn't compare. "We're not gonna ask again. Move. Or I will move you."
Joseph continued slowly and menacingly. "We're just going to grab her, and then we'll be outta your hair."
"Or lack thereof." Jonathan added with a small grin, pointing out the man's bald head.
The next thing the bouncer knew, Pamela and Mercedes had slipped behind him while he was death-staring Jonathan, and the guys all pushed their way in after that. Joseph stuck near the door in case the bouncer tried to come in and stop them while the rest of the group divided in hopes of conquering.
Mercedes and Pamela struggled to get through the people, often partly because the men preferred to stand in their way so the women would have to speak with them, and Jonathan seemed to be distracted by a woman himself. Colby sighed but trekked on toward the stage.
Guess I'm all that's left then.
As he watched Rebecca while trying to get closer, he couldn't help but study her movements. The sway of her hips and the way she threw her head back carelessly, one hand holding the pole so she didn't fall back. The way she then stood up and in one flowing motion pressed herself against the steel in front of her.
Colby unintentionally came to a stop as he watched her smile larger than life, as she moved her hand to the front of her cropped shirt and began to slowly unzip the zipper that was keeping her top on. Colby found himself dazed until he remembered that was exactly why they were trying to stop her.
"Fuck." He muttered as his clothes started to feel like they were restraining him, and his hands started to sweat.
He pushed past the rest of the crowd, gaining snide comments and some shoving back. When he stepped onto the stage, Colby rushed to stop her hand from revealing herself to the crowd.
"Come on, it's time to go." He spoke to Rebecca slowly, trying to ignore her slick skin on his fingers.
"Oh good you're here!" Rebecca pointed shakily to a table and the group of people around it. "We're just about to have some of your favourite!"
Colby shifted uneasily and shook his head, gingerly zipping her shirt back up. "We gotta get you home."
"But I'm just getting started." Rebecca whined as Colby picked her up.
"You've had enough fun for fifty nights." Colby started walking, noticing Rebecca wasn't putting up much of a fight. When he looked down, she was passed out in his arms, and for his own peace of mind, he checked her pulse, just in case.
