"Well it seems like it's a good day for a race, maybe you're birthday brings luck" he laughs "I can't say I hope it does, my contract says no personal preferences" she laughs back "how is it going so far? Everything ready for the race?" She asks "yeah everything's great, even Max is in an excellent mood today, I don't know why" He shrugs. "You should enjoy it as long as it lasts" she answers "see you later I have to go" "yeah bye". The two separate and Y/N continues her way. She watch's the race with a few of her friends and coworkers, at the end Lewis one, giving the second Win for Mercedes. After she interviewed him and congratulated him for his success, she soon gets back to the hotel and gets ready for the party. A knock on the door let's her walk out of the bathroom with only a towel wrapped around her body and hair. "Open the door munchkin" she hears Sophia's voice from outside. ————————————————————————— While Y/N puts on her shoes, it knocks on the door. "I'm going" one of the girls says. "It's Daniel". Y/N turns to the side and sees Daniel standing at the door. "We are ready to go" she speaks "good because it would be bad arriving after your guests" "yes das" she replies to his words. A short time later they all arrive at the location. "You are out of your mind mr. Ricciardo" Y/N speaks being stunned by the location. "You rented a whole club ? Im not going to pay for that" she says to the driver "first of all I'm paying, second of all when I told them a lot of VIP were coming they nearly offered everything for free soo" the girls laugh at his words. Y/N just hugs her friend, she was more than thankful for everything he did for her. Soon a lot of the guests arrive, congratulating her and handing over presents. 2 hours fly by but she couldn't find herself enjoying the party in its fullest. When she walks outside to catch some fresh air, her phone rings. It was an unknown number.
Y/N: "Hello" Caller: "Hy sweet heart" Y/N: Dad? Dad: Yeah it's me. Happy birthday Y/N: I- I... thank you Dad: I know she haven't spoken in along time, I just wanted to congratulate you for your birthday and also for your job. Y/N: thanks that means a lot to me Dad: I saw you on tv, and also on that app, what's it called younube? Y/N laughs: you mean You tube? You downloaded it to watch my videos ? Dad: yeah I more than proud, I also showed it to Bill and the others from the country club. Y/N: oh god Dad: I know things didn't ended good between us but maybe we could meet up or something. Y/N: I think mom wouldn't like that. Dad: we signed the divorce paper two weeks ago Y/N: you did ? Oh my god, I didn't knew Dad: listen I'm in Spain next week, and I'm free on Friday, maybe we could spend some time and talk. "You're 21, for you Americans that's a big thing huh?" Charles asks her while sitting down next to her in the bench. "you're not excited" "no it's just I -" "you didn't got the right presents" he jokes "I - when I was small" "you mean smaller than now" he looks up and down on her "really funny. No when I was younger I always had a plan what I wanted to archive when I turn 21 one and now I have nearly archived nothing from that list" "you know life is not about doing things on a list. It's about enjoying the moment and being thankfull for what you have" Charles explains.
"it's just not easy to do that, all my life people expected something from me"she confesses. "I know how that is, my parents gave up so much for me and I always makes myself pressure to prove that I deserved it." He explains. "What did you do against that feeling" she asks. "Well my dad died and I realized, that you only have a short time on this earth and you should at some point move on and just live" he speaks. "I wish that would be so easy" she whispers.
