Great, I thought to myself, slipping my phone into my pocket. I have the weirdest principal in all of our school division, legit.
Maybe it doesn't have to be Seth. The principal did say that it'd be better if the person was someone I don't know very well.
But I have to tell Seth, right? Mr. Davidson can't expect me to keep the biggest secret of my life from my best friend in the entire world, can he?
I sighed, taking a seat in my first class of the day.
"Hey, Amanda." Seth's other best friend, Ty, sat down beside me.
"You don't sit here," I said automatically.
"I'm wild, babe, I make the rules."
"Ty, the only thing you make around here, is make me want to throw up. Now get a life."
He frowned, and stood up. "You're no fun. I don't have any idea why Seth still hangs out with you."
I rolled my eyes at the towering jock. "Because I'm flawless."
"You're extra cheery today," Ty grumbled.
"Don't even," I warned, shooting him a look.
"Seriously, Amanda, what's wrong?" His voice grew softer, and I noticed his eyes appeared more gentle than previously.
I hesitated, and almost considered telling him the truth. Ty might be cocky, loud, obnoxious, and full of himself, but if there's one thing I know about Tyson Williams, he can keep a secret.
"What's wrong, is that you keep talking to me."
I actually used to date Ty, and it was probably one of the biggest mistakes of my life. Sadly, it was actually great until he cheated on me with Claire's cousin. He was the most recent and longest boyfriend I'd probably ever had...
Now he bugs me at any chance he gets, but it's kinda friendly, I guess. Well, it would be if he wasn't trying so desperately to win me back.
"If you don't like me just say so."
Oh. My.
He laughed, and retreated back to his seat near the left corner of the class.
Wait, was he joking?
Legit?
He glanced back at me one last time, and swivelled his head to talk with his friends.
I stared for a moment, and then kept my eyes glued to the door, watching the foyer like a hawk.
After a few minutes, the dreaded sight entered my vision and Seth strode through the door, his electric blue eyes instantly locking with mine.
