The rest of the morning passed with only one other bearded student to return to normal. Word must have finally gotten around about what happened if you tried to fool Professor Dumbledore's Age Line. That, or people saw the Weasley twins with their initials etched into their skulls and decided it wasn't worth the risk.

I was shocked Fred and George didn't return that morning after they'd realized what I'd done. They must not have noticed, their friend must have been trying his best to make sure they avoided seeing the backs of each other's heads. He must be well-practised in keeping secrets considering the company he kept.

I took an early lunch and then went back to Ravenclaw Tower to finish my homework. The Entrance Hall was still packed with students keeping their eyes on the Goblet of Fire and those submitting their names. I worked by myself in the common room for the afternoon and enjoyed the peace and quiet.

Mia came to find me shortly before dinner.

'Did you hear about the Weasley twins?' She asked, throwing her books and parchment on the table I was working at.

'What about them?' I feigned ignorance, not even looking up from my parchment for fear that she would see my grin. I was a terrible liar.

She laughed.

'Don't pretend, I know you did it.'

'How on earth do you figure it was me?' I looked up and let her see my knowing smile.

'They're looking for you,' she said, taking a seat. 'It definitely wasn't Madam Pomfrey, so it must have been you. They asked Cho if she knew where you were. Apparently, they went back to the Hospital Wing but you were gone and Madam Pomfrey wouldn't fix their hair for them. She thought it was brilliant.'

'Well, I'm relieved I'm not in trouble, anyway.' I said. I had been a little worried about that, I hadn't considered the fact that I might get in trouble for taking advantage of my position until it was too late. 'It serves them right for all the jokes they play on other people.'

'Hey, I'm not saying they didn't deserve it. Don't worry, they're not telling anyone it was a fifth-year girl who did it to them.' Mia said, 'it's bad for their image. They were trying to flirt with the girls from Beauxbatons, and from what I hear, it didn't go well.'

I burst out laughing.

'I wish I could have seen that!' I said with a laugh, 'well then, I suppose I'll have to watch my back.'

We worked on our schoolwork for another hour until dinner. I was glad I didn't have walk through the castle alone knowing that the Weasleys were looking for me. Mia and I walked down together, both of us keeping an eye out for any sign of bright red hair. Surely if they were looking for me, they wouldn't want to confront me in front of most of the school in the Great Hall.

To my astonishment, we arrived at the Great Hall without incident. It was decorated as it usually was for Halloween with hundreds of floating Jack-O-lanterns with thousands of candles and live bats flying around the room. The Beauxbatons students had already arrived and seemed rather wary of the festive decor. I wondered what was customary for them around Halloween.

'Oi! Falconer!' I whipped back around to face the direction I had just come from, I had just been about to enter the Great Hall. The Weasley twins had found me at last and were both making a beeline in my direction. They kept looking around at who was watching, the Entrance Hall was still busy, but not too many people had arrived for the Halloween feast yet.

'Yes?' I answered as sweetly as I could.

'Don't you act like you're so innocent.' The one on the right told me.
