We pulled up outside my house and exited the car "just to let you know Connor my dog will not trust you for the first few minutes so just let her come to you, ok?" Connor nodded and I smiled unlocking the door, "I'm home!" I heard frantic scratching on the floor and then a small figure round the corner
"MOMMY!" Aaron practically jumped into my arms "Your home early!" I laughed as he gripped onto my shirt "what's that on your face?"
"I'm just stopping by for lunch, I got punched in the face and it's a bruise and-
"You got punched! Cool" I shook my head placing Aaron down on the floor
"Not cool, and don't interrupt when people are talking. Anyway, I brought some friends with me, Aaron you remember Hank right?" Aaron looked past my legs to see the door
"Uh-huh!" Aaron nodded
"Well I bought him and my new work partner Connor" Aaron looked over ti the door again to look at Connor
"Hello.... " Aaron waved at Connor shyly
"Hello Aaron, your mom told me a little bit about you" Aaron looked at Connor with slight suspicion
Aaron patted my leg and marched over to Connor and looked up at him poking him in the leg before looking up at him "Do you want to play dinosaur with me?" I giggled and Connor looked a tad confused
"Sure?" Aaron's eyes lit up and he jumped up grabbing Connor hand and pulling him towards the living room where me and Hank followed.
When we reached the living room we saw Connor on the floor in front of the sofa as kaia looked at him in alarm from behind the coffee table, I saw Aaron run in with all his dinosaur toys in hand and place them in front of him and Connor as I turned to Hank "ok so admit it you like him a little"
"I don't like him, you do though" I rolled my eyes
"Yeah, he's attractive and I'm starved for attention. But that's not what I asked"
"Jesus Y/n! Get your mind out of the gutter" my face immediately burst into blush as a smacked Hank on the arm
"My mind has been no where near the gutter! And plus you can't blame me" I pouted as Hank rolled his eyes
"Fine, he's ok not the worst but definitely not the best" I smiled smugly "wipe that look off your face right now Y/n"
"No" Hank sighed in exasperation as I walked over to the kitchen and began to make myself some lunch
After I had finished making my lunch I sat down on the sofa as Hank sat in the separate armchair and began to eat, Suddenly Aaron whipped his head round to me with an amazed expression "Mom you never told me dinosaurs were real!"
"I thought you knew"
"No! Connor was telling me facts about them! And they were real!" I laughed at this that was until Connors led flashed orange
"I just got a report of a suspected deviant, it's a few blocks away. We should go have a look but I'll let you say bye first" I smiled and went to Aaron and kissed him on the forehead "I'll be back later sweetie" Aaron waved to us all as we left as kaia jumped back up onto the sofa and summer came out from wherever she was to catch a glimpse of us leaving.
