Present Day

As the vice chancellor was in the midst of formally introducing Louis Massimo to the gathered audience, the doors of the auditorium swung open, and a group of five friends emerged. It was apparent that they had arrived late, due to an unexpected meeting with Katy in the canteen.

As they all took their respective seats, Selena remained standing by the gate, her eyes locked with Louis'. She felt a sudden rush in her heart, her body tingling with anticipation as she and Louis exchanged intense glances for what felt like an eternity. After nearly five minutes, Robert approached her, concerned.

"Selena, are you okay? You look nervous," he said gently, taking her hand and giving it a comforting massage. Selena snapped out of her reverie, sighing.

"Let's sit, Robert," she said with a faint smile. "I'm fine, just felt a sudden wave of nausea."

The convocation ceremony was in full swing, with a host taking the stage to announce the names of the students who would be receiving their well-deserved felicitation. The audience listened attentively, the air charged with excitement and anticipation.

As the host called out each name, the recipients walked across the stage, beaming with pride as they received their certificates and accolades. On the other hand, Selena couldn't help but feel a mix of emotions. Her heart still raced from her earlier encounter with Louis, the sudden rush of feelings catching her off guard.

Despite her best efforts to concentrate on the ceremony, Selena found her mind constantly drifting back to Louis, who was seated on the stage as a guest of honor just a few feet ahead of her. She couldn't help but steal glances at him, taking in how dashing he looked in his black tuxedo, and how his eyes seemed to frequently meet hers. The palpable chemistry between them was undeniable, and Selena found herself struggling to shake off the butterflies that danced in her stomach.

Robert, her best friend, noticed her distracted state and leaned in, whispering, "Selena, are you okay? You seem a little off." Selena shook her head, trying to compose herself. "I'm fine, just a little overwhelmed," she replied, not wanting to reveal the true cause of her distraction.

Robert nodded, giving her a reassuring smile. "Well, you did great, Selena. Your hard work has paid off, and you deserve this moment."

Selena managed a grateful smile, appreciating Robert's support. As the ceremony continued, she tried to focus on the other graduates, but her thoughts kept drifting back to Louis. She couldn't shake off the magnetic pull she felt towards him.

Jacob was seated next to Louis and couldn't help but notice that his friend had been continuously staring at a girl near the entrance door for the past 15 minutes. Jacob followed Louis' gaze and saw the girl looking back at Louis with an intrigued expression. As Jacob observed further, he noticed a boy approaching the girl and starting a conversation with her. When the boy took her hand in his, Jacob saw Louis' body stiffen, his fists clenched tightly with veins popping out on his wrist.

Understanding the situation, Jacob leaned towards Louis and asked, "Is she your mate?"

Louis loosened his fists and calmed down, smirking at Jacob's question. Jacob was taken aback by the revelation and smirked as well, saying, "Girl, you are done. I feel sympathy for her now."

Both Louis and Jacob exchanged smiles, regaining their focus on the seemingly never-ending felicitation ceremony. It seemed that Louis' attention had been captured by someone special, adding an unexpected twist to an otherwise mundane event.

Louis P.O.V

The sudden sound of the entrance door caught my attention, and I immediately caught a whiff of her intoxicating scent wafting through the air. My breath hitched as I anticipated her arrival, just like it did earlier when I caught a glimpse of her with her friends in the canteen this morning. She was truly breathtaking, with a mesmerizing body and a face that seemed to radiate with beauty.
