4. Unsettled Feelings

"Hello, my beloved Selena! Oh, you shine like a radiant star. I never imagined you'd be this enchanting," expressed a woman exuding a powerful aura and captivating charm. She appeared regal, adorned in an elegant white and blue gown with a crown atop her head. Intrigued, Selena queried, "Who are you? Why do I sense a connection?" With warmth, the woman responded, "Yes, my precious child, we are intertwined. You were born with a magnificent purpose. Remember, I shall forever safeguard you."

"In my arms, my love, you were bestowed,
A beacon of change, a destiny to unfold.
Born to inspire, with wings unfurled,
You're the spark that brings transformation to the world"

"Wait! Where are you going? Please, tell me who you are. I feel a sudden rush of energy in my body when I see you."

"Don't worry, my love. In due time, you will discover my identity, and on that day, you'll bear a significant responsibility to safeguard the world." With those words, the woman leaves.

Selena woke up abruptly. She had the strangest feeling but she couldn't quite put her finger on it. And then she remembered her dream. It had been so vivid, and she had a feeling that it meant something.

She lay there for a few minutes, trying to make sense of it all. But the more she thought about it, the more confused she became. Finally, she sighed and decided to let it go. She had too much to do that day to worry about a dream.

She thought, 'why do I feel there is something going beside me and I'm unaware about it, also this dream, does it mean something'. Let it be, I have so much to handle today, I will think of this later on.

"Selena! Wake up! Breakfast is ready," called out Lisa.

"Coming, Mom! Just give me 10 minutes," Selena shouted back from her room.

"Good morning, Mom," Selena said. "What's for breakfast?"

Lisa smiled. "Your favorite," she said. "Pancakes with chocolate pie."

Selena's eyes widened. "Really?" she asked. "That sounds amazing!"

She sat down at the table and Lisa began to cook. Selena couldn't wait to dig in.

A few minutes later, Lisa placed a plate of pancakes and a slice of chocolate pie in front of Selena. Selena took a big bite of the pancakes and they were even better than she had imagined. The pancakes were fluffy and light, and the chocolate pie was rich and decadent.

Selena ate her breakfast quickly and then licked her plate clean

"That was delicious, Mom," she said. "Thank you."

"You're welcome," Lisa said. "I'm glad you liked it."

Selena finished her breakfast and then went to get ready for the day.

It's been 2 days after the convocation ceremony, all the 5 friends decided to catch up and to plan about their next move towards the career plan.

Louis was in the middle of an important meeting, surrounded by his close childhood friends Jacob and Noah, who he trusted deeply. Jacob held the role of Beta, and Noah was the Gamma in his inner circle. However, Louis carried a heavy burden in his heart. He had been receiving threatening letters for the past month, and not knowing who sent them made him anxious and cautious all the time.

As a result, he had no choice but to maintain a distance from his cherished mate, Selena, in a desperate attempt to protect her from the unseen dangers that loomed. Each passing day without her presence intensified the ache within him, forging an unbearable pain that pierced his very being.
