chapter eight : for you

you and bang chan were walking to the cafeteria together since it was already time for lunch. chan seemed to be more pumped up for school than he usually was. you think it was because he spent a lot of time with i.n. they do have a lot to talk about, so it's natural.

as the two of you approach one of the tables holding your lunches, you notice three males eyeing you from across the canteen. it was of course your loyal followers, however today they weren't bowing at your feet and hogging up all of your attention. thankfully they listened to your words.

you waved to them in a warm gesture to which they shyly returned the gesture before you sat down next to bang chan.

" looks like the three [ y/n ] worshipers are out of order today. " chan notes while gazing over them with his eyes in an annoyed expression. in truth he was still salty about yesterday.

" i'm glad they listened to me, they should focus on themselves not some stupid [ y/n ] fanclub ! " you argued to which chan said nothing as he ate peacefully.

" speaking of ... " you continued to speak. " you and i.n seem to be becoming best buddies now, so would you mind if i.n stayed with you for a couple of days since auntie is coming back home in a few days and ya' know? "

" of course, i'll ask my guardian first though. "

" good to know. " you start digging into your meal while bang chan keeps his gaze on you. he just silently takes in the view of you as thoughts stir in his mind.

" hey chan, is everything okay ? you keep staring at me ... " the male snaps out of it and clears his throat before speaking.

" are you sure you're okay with this magic power stuff? " chan genuinely asks. " i know you said that you trust me and all, but there are still some things that i haven't told you and i don't know if you would still perceive me the same after i tell you ... "

a small silence falls between the two of you while students chatter in the background. you stop eating and turn your body towards chan, facing him. grabbing his hand in a gentle hold, you say.

" chan, i will always trust and believe you no matter what happened in the past and your powers don't change that. i will always see you as bang chan. "

" if you aren't ready to tell me what happened back when you were a child, i fully understand and will wait until you are ready to share it. "

this is why bang chan loved you. he could never stop falling deeper and deeper down, entering the deep depths of loving you.

chan knew he would never lose you, but he knew what he did was severely wrong. but he had no choice. it was escape or die in there. all he wanted to know was, would you love a murderer like him ...?

[ later in the day, at your house ]

you, chan and i.n were all in your kitchen as bang chan was cooking one of his signature dishes. personally you loved bang chan's cooking. it was amazing and you always craved it. thinking about it now chan would make an amazing househusband.

moving on, you sat beside the albino haired male at the dining table who was fiddling with one of his bandages that you had put on him days ago.

" what's wrong? " i.n let's out a short hum to which you point to one of his finger's bandages that he was about to pull off. " has your finger healed? "

" i don't know, but this band aid is starting to get itchy. " the boy has trouble trying to take off the band aid, so you grab ahold of i.n's hand and slowly pull the bandage off.

i.n gets taken by surprise when you grab his hand. he was so grateful that you took care of him, if you hadn't taken him in he wouldn't even want to imagine where he would be right now. he felt like you and minho would get along easily.

" there, all healed ! " you slightly graze over where the cut was located on i.n's finger. the said male just sits there, his cheeks shining a delicate pink.

the moment didn't last long before bang chan yelled. " dinner is ready ! " you pull away from i.n and stand up from your seat. meanwhile i.n just sat there looking at your leaving form. his heart felt a little warm after that interaction.

joining bang chan in the kitchen you smell the fresh aroma of the warm and tasty meal that he prepared. " wow, smells heavenly as always, chef bang ~ ! "

" that does smell amazing. " i.n joins the two of you and you all take your respective plates. as you head over to the dining table you check your pockets for your phone, which you do not find.

placing down the meal on the table, you alert the two males that you're gonna go get your phone. sadly you don't find your phone in the house. you try to remember when was the last time you saw it, however the last time you saw it was in school.

did you leave it at school? double checking around the whole house, you still don't find your phone anywhere. you hadn't given it to bang chan, so your phone was for sure locked in your locker. great ... it was already starting to get dark outside too.

bang chan had noticed that you had been frantically looking for something and decided to ask about it. " [ y/n ] , what are you searching for? "

" eh ... funny story i left my phone at school ... "

chan just gave you a ' ∠(°ゝ° ) ' look and before he could say anything else, you interrupt.

" would you please come with me to get my phone back? you don't even have to go inside you can just wait outside ! " bang chan still looked a little unconvinced. until you got an idea. " then let's bring along i.n ! it can be a training of sorts, right? he can get familiar with the outside ! "

i.n overhears you calling his name, making him peak his head around the corner to get sight of what you and chan were talking about. " me ? "

" i.n would you like to go outside ...? "

the silver haired male pondered over it for a couple of seconds before deciding.

" sure, why not? "
