ㅤ ㅤ ' i won't be back until next thursday. something came up so i won't be home today. call me if there are any problems. '
that was the text you had gotten from your aunt this morning. it seems i.n was still set to stay at your house for the time being.
at the moment you were walking to school alongside bang chan as always. yesterday when you were all in your basement, you didn't get to talk much after jisung left.
you had decided to leave hyunjin, bang chan and i.n to catch up on their own history and backstory last night.
today started with chan coming over to your house to see i.n on their strict strengthening regimen and the two of you left after some time.
and that brings you two to now. walking into the gates of the school grounds. soon enough seungmin and changbin were in front of you and chan. no jisung in sight.
" hey [ y/n ] , chan. " the now duo looked unusually quiet and astranged. it seems han had told them about yesterday night's events.
" i'm guessing jisung already told you guys. " bang chan says to which changbin nods.
" we want to explain our story, if you want to hear it out. " changbin reveals, his voice unsure and unsteady. his expression mirrored his tone and manner.
seungmin looked alert and his gaze was directed towards you more than anyone else there. he was nervous and anxiously awaiting your reply.
chan looked to you, waiting for your answer. to which you respond.
" of course. "
ㅤ [ yesterday ]
ㅤ minho was still laying in the same spot on his side as he was thrown in. a night had passed while the male was taking a nap, recharging his strength.
however felix spent the whole night in the same corner he had scooted over to. felix was afraid if he moved closer to him, minho would get hurt.
it was past morning as the clock hands showed. minho was still motionless but his low breaths could be heard.
the black haired male had been observing the sleeping male as his injuries slowly started to fade, leaving no traces of an ever existing wound.
felix was astonished at the revelation, even if he himself had an ability. seeing another person with abilities like him was relieving at the least.
what astonished him more was that the laboratory workers weren't here yet. they always put him on a sedative at 8 sharp in the morning for his power to be kept under control. but it was past 11 now...
felix had a sneaking suspicion that the scientists were up to something and that it had something to do with felix's ability and minho trying to get away from the laboratory.
did they want him to torture minho...?
as soon as that thought crossed his mind, footsteps could be heard coming closer to the room. it was them.
the metal door opened and revealed the head scientist and the founder of this laboratory. it's an older male with gray hair and a long lab coat. a trio of guards were behind him for safety precautions.
" wakey, wakey 03. " he lulled with a sickening calm expression. minho's back was turned to the man, but as soon as minho heard his number, he rolled over to face him.
" you're awake, great. " a smile covers his face and his wrinkles become more visible. " now you're probably wondering why i threw you in here with 06... "
" well i've been thinking a lot and since then i have acknowledged that you two are the only two subjects i have left. "
" 03 ... i haven't yet forgotten about your attempted escape and your punishment... "
" is going to happen here. "

ㅤ you, chan, changbin and seungmin decided to speak in private in an empty classroom. at first it was silent as the two didn't know where to start.
bang chan started to speak, interrupting the silence. " how did you two get emitted into the laboratory? "
" we all got emitted differently. " seungmin starts. " i was born at that place and they locked away my mother from ever seeing me. i haven't seen her since... "
the way seungmin referred to ' that place ' , you instantly knew what he meant.
" i was kidnapped while i was going home one day. " changbin continued. " han was taken from his home right from under his own roof. "
" i was also born there. " bang chan admits.
your heart shattered at the thought of what the people closest to you had to endure and you didn't even know until a few days ago.
before you knew it you were holding both seungmin and changbin in your arms securely. " u-uh, what are you doing? " a small red blush dawned their cheeks.
