Jenni walked in, and hugged me; it felt nice I could feel her heart beating in her chest and those arms were surrounding me in a protective way, it was the perfect feeling of warmth in the chest. "Si, I would happily welcome you home mi pequena. So how does it work Irene?"

-Glad you asked. I have the paper to register you as a foster home now and the PSG super lawyer is asking for a meeting with the judge already to speed up the process to get your status as a foster parent.

Jenni was filling the paper with yours and Irene help since it was in french, when Irene's phone rang with a text from the lawyer saying the meeting was in an hour. We quickly finished, I was sent back to practice by Jenni despite my protestation. Practice ended without any news from Jenni and Irene, Vero drove me back home after we changed, Irene had asked her before practice. I was doing my homework in the common room when our supervisor came in asking for me.

"Pack your bags, you are being picked up by a foster family in half an hour."

I finished my math exercise and went upstairs to pack, I was nervous. I wanted the foster family to be Jenni but I knew that it was a high possibility that she wasn't. Half an hour later I was in the hall with my bags and waiting. The doorbell rang, our supervisor opened it; it was Jenni and a child services worker, he checked with the child services worker that everything was correct and let us go. When the door closed behind me I jumped into Jenni's arms, the child services agent completely forgotten. She put me back down, "Vamos pequena, I have a present for you in the car and then we are going home."

In the car, she gave me the present, it was a phone. "Technically it's a present for me, so I can call when you're out mini yo. Obviously you will also call me." she explained before I could protest. We arrived at her apartment. Irene and Lucia were already there building a desk to put in the room that was for me. The old bed has been replaced by a loft bed to make the most of the room's space, the desk would go under the loft bed. I replaced Lucia so she could go cook for the four of us and while Irene and I were building the desk and chair, Jenni entered her family numbers on my phone and our teammates. She got my file out of her folder and put it on the dinner table. "I didn't open it. When you are ready, you tell me. It's staying here till then.

-Well If you could move it so we can eat it would be nice Jenni, said Lucia

- So it's actually not staying there." Jenni grabbed the file and put it on the table by the tv.Irene and I left the chair and the complicated notice where it was, we had finished the desk but the chair was giving us a headache.

Dinner was tortilla when I casually said it was only the second time I ever had some, Jenni looked at me weirdly.

- But you are half Spanish. You told Vero and me at my first team bonding with PSG.

-Yeah I have both nationalities french and spanish, but I was abandoned in France when I was 3 in front of a church no one saw anything. And I don't remember anything, except that I know how to speak spanish. Oh and if I ever get adopted the spanish government is informed and has the right to veto the adoption.

The other nodded a little baffled by the information, the conversation continued and at the end of dinner Jenni turned to me and informed me.

-We are going back home for the winter break, well I had already decided that to be fair but it's not even an option now. You need to meet my family and experience Spain's culture. Aren't you eligible for both national youth teams ?

-Technically yes. But the system or foster family didn't let me go and Spain never reached out since I'm not registered in the federation.

-Okay well I need to see what I can do about that.

Living with Jenni was the best and I learned to cook Spanish specialities and just basic things like pancakes with her. I jokingly trash-talked on Disney's movies in Spanish, it was weird. I had only seen them in french so hearing it in spanish was really the weirdest, when she was on the phone with her spanish teammates I ducked in my room to read or do my homework. Jenni didn't want to tell the team and had asked Irene and Vero to not say anything to them, Vero knew because well she was Vero, she didn't want to put pressure on me by presenting me to her teammate and wanted to be sure that she could adopt me before presenting me to them. She called her parents to present me to them and told them she was bringing me home with her in December.

During the last week of training before the winter break, the grass was frozen and I slipt, I had tried to climb a slope where there was ice on the side of the pitch and I slipped cleats firmly into the ice and I face going first to the ground. Yeah I heard a harsh pop and then my Achilles tendon was hurting so bad and I was taken to the doc. Verdict, I got a complete Achilles tendon rupture and I'm out for 4 or 5 months max, and I needed surgery, like right now.
