Quirk Description:

Nightlock is an extremely powerful umbrakinesis quirk, granting Ray the ability to manipulate and control shadows and darkness with incredible precision and potency. This quirk allows Ray to create solid constructs from shadows, such as weapons, armor, and barriers, which are nearly indestructible under normal circumstances. He can also envelop himself in darkness, becoming invisible and intangible within shadows, enabling him to move undetected and evade attacks effortlessly. Additionally, Nightlock grants Ray the ability to shroud his enemies in impenetrable darkness, disorienting them and impairing their senses.

Ray's mastery over Nightlock extends to summoning and controlling shadowy tendrils that can immobilize or attack opponents from a distance. He can manipulate the shadows of objects and people, using them to bind, restrain, or even as conduits to transport himself instantaneously through darkness. In battle, Ray's presence can plunge entire areas into darkness, giving him a significant tactical advantage by obscuring his movements and actions.

Drawbacks:

Despite its overwhelming power, Nightlock is physically taxing on Ray's body. Prolonged use of the quirk drains his stamina rapidly, leaving him fatigued and vulnerable if overused. Extensive manipulation of shadows can lead to severe muscle strain and even temporary paralysis. Ray must manage his quirk usage carefully, balancing his immense power with the physical limitations of his body to avoid exhaustion and potential self-inflicted harm.

Skills and Abilities:

Body Manipulation: Ray's body can turn into a Is partially a shadow, allowing him to twist his head all around, produce tendrils, open his jaw in an unnatural way, and even take the his head off like a hat. This makes his fighting style unpredictable and eerie, often catching opponents off guard.

Intangibility: Ray can become an inky black liquid, enabling him to pass through small spaces and avoid physical attacks. This ability makes it difficult for enemies to land a hit on him and allows for creative escapes and infiltrations.

Absorption: Ray has the ability to absorb victims into the shadows. This can immobilize opponents and potentially use their energy to replenish his own, though it is physically taxing and can only be used sparingly.

Speed and Agility: Ray is incredibly fast and agile, capable of outmaneuvering opponents and dodging attacks with remarkable ease. His physical training has honed his reflexes and speed to near-superhuman levels.

Weaknesses:

Photophobia: Ray is extremely sensitive to brilliant light. Exposure to intense light sources can disorient him, weaken his abilities, and cause physical discomfort&Suffering.

Heat Sensitivity: Ray's powers are negatively affected by high temperatures. Extreme heat can weaken his control over shadows and even cause them to dissipate entirely, leaving him vulnerable.

Physical Weakness: Due to the extensive damage inflicted on his body during his childhood, Ray suffers from chronic pain and limited physical capabilities. He tires easily and is more susceptible to injuries compared to others, making him less resilient in combat scenarios. Witch is why he learned to be so fast

Appearance:

Ray is a pale-skinned young man with messy hair. He has black half-opened eyes with noticeable eye bags under them, indicating a lack of sleep or constant vigilance. His eyes' sclera are an inky black, while his irises are a striking yellow, giving him an intimidating and unique look.

Personality:

Ray is apathetic, sarcastic. He truly dosent give a flying fuck about other's feelings. Ray is also pretty impulsive and Rash, doing things without any forethought. He also has no remorse for his actions, as he "does whats fun." And if he thinks beating a dog to death with a science textbook is fun, then that dogs gonna get a lesson on gravity.

Despite this exterior, Ray harbors a violent side, influenced by his father's example. In the UK, heroes have legal permission to kill villains under certain circumstances, and Ray's father has shown no remorse for the villains he has defeated. This has impacted Ray,  making his behavior extremely erratic, unhinged and violent.

Backstory:

Ray was born in Manchester, London, to a renowned hero family. His father is the number one hero in the UK, known for his incredible prowess and horrific ways of dealing with villains. From a young age, Ray was trained rigorously by his father, who instilled in him the values of discipline, strength, and the importance of being a hero.

Ray's childhood was far from ordinary. His father's strict training regimen left little room for a typical childhood, but it also forged Ray into a highly skilled and resilient individual. He learned various skills, and the art of using his quirk to its fullest potential.

Unfortunately, due to his dad's hero job, and not having a mother figure, Ray was neglected from an early age, witch made him develop humor as a coping mechanism.

When it was time for Ray to attend a hero school, his father initially wanted him to stay in the UK to train under his direct supervision. However, Principal Nezu of U.A. High School saw great potential in Ray and personally convinced his father to let Ray attend U.A. in Japan. Nezu believed that U.A. would provide Ray with the best environment to hone his skills and earn his hero license, as well as expose him to a diverse range of experiences and challenges.

Reluctantly, Ray's father agreed, and Ray was sent to U.A. High School.
