The anticipation crackled in the air as the students of Class 1-A gathered in the waiting room, awaiting their turn to take the stage at the UA Sports Festival. The room buzzed with nervous energy, each student brimming with a mix of excitement and apprehension.
Finally, the call came, and they filed out of the waiting room, following Present Mic's booming voice to the main arena. As they entered, their eyes widened at the sight of the provocatively dressed Midnight, who had taken the stage as the festival host.
Present Mic: "Ladies and gentlemen, please give it up for our esteemed host for today's festivities, the one and only R-rated hero... Midnight!"
A wave of blushes rippled through the audience at the sight of Midnight, but Kirishima couldn't help but voice his concern.
Kirishima: "Uh, shouldn't Midnight watch what she's wearing?"
Kaminari: "Yeah, that costume should definitely come with a warning."
Tokoyami: "Is that really appropriate for a high school event?"
Ray: "I ain't complaining."
Midnight took center stage, her sultry voice commanding the attention of the crowd.
Midnight: "Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the UA Sports Festival!"
With a flourish of her hand, she gestured toward the obstacle course that lay before them.
Midnight: "It's simple! Run, dodge obstacles, and make it to the finish line! Now, get into position, and let the games begin!"
The students hurried to their assigned starting positions, adrenaline coursing through their veins as they prepared to compete. As soon as the signal was given, they surged forward, each determined to prove themselves in the arena.
Ray wasted no time, using his shadow manipulation quirk to ensnare the crowd and gain an early advantage.
Present Mic's voice echoed through the arena as he exclaimed in surprise.
Present Mic: "Whoa! That kid from Class 1-A just took down a whole crowd of competitors!"
Todoroki, caught off guard by Ray's unexpected move, quickly sprung into action, using his ice quirk to push himself away from the gas.
Present Mic: "And look at that! Todoroki from Class 1-A is now racing against those competitors! But it seems like some of the other students have regained their movement!"
Ray, focused on maintaining his lead, pressed on, only to be met with an unexpected obstacle. a missile that exploded in front of him, sending him staggering backward.
Ray: "Missiles? In a high school game!"
As the three large robots appeared on the course, Ray's instincts kicked in. Without hesitation, he melted into the shadows, disappearing from sight in an instant.
While chaos erupted among the other participants, with some trying to engage the robots head-on and others attempting to evade them, Ray moved swiftly and silently through the darkness.
The students eventually reached the next obstacle: The Fall. The challenge was to traverse large stone pillars connected by tightropes without falling into the pit below. The scene was intense as each competitor used their unique Quirks to balance themselves and move forward. Tsuyu Asui leaped frog-like from pillar to pillar, Tenya Iida used his engines to sprint across, and Shoto Todoroki created ice bridges to carefully cross the ropes. Bakugo, always the showman, flew across using his explosions to propel himself.
Ray, watching the scene unfold, decided he wanted to have some fun. With a wicked grin, he conjured a wall of pikes constructed from his shadows. The dark, menacing spikes emerged from the shadows and sliced through some of the ropes, causing chaos among the competitors. Those who were quick on their feet managed to adjust, but others struggled to find new paths.
