Rebecca felt wet, hot tears fall down her face quickly. Her hand covered her mouth. "Oh my god, Barry." She bent over his lifeless form, in sobs. She held his head in her lap and stroked his head softly. He was her only family and now he's dead. Oliver bent down next to Becca, hugging her shaking body, tears in his own eyes. "I am so sorry." He said quietly.

"No. Oliver, just stop talking." She snapped, trying to process the situation. Oliver looked at her hurt. The grieving woman immediately felt guilty, "I'm sorry." She whispered, not meeting eye contact with his crystal blue eyes. "How did it happen?" Rebecca croaked. Oliver took in a breathe, getting ready to explain.

Flashback to 3 hours ago—

"Oliver I'm here." Barry's voice rang through coms. They were on a mission to stop Leonard Snart yet again. "I'm on the other side of the building." Oliver said gruffly, drawing an arrow. "Going in now." The archer said, breaking the door down with a grunt. Oliver ran into the old rickety building and spotted Snart. Menacingly, he pointed an arrow at him. "Leonard Snart, you have failed this city!" as he said that infamous line, Barry sped in as a red blur. "Snart, give it up!" Barry shouted angrily. Out of no where, Weather Wizard appeared. "Ah, you see. I brought back-up." Cold leered. Barry ducked as a large ball of hail came flying his way.

Felicity was watching through the cameras she had hacked into. "Oh my god." The woman said with a nervous filled tone. "Oliver, are you alright?" She  asked. The reply was a series of grunts, at least he wasn't dead.

There was a loud scream of pain from Barry's com. Felicity jumped and Cisco and Caitlin came tumbling over to see what had happened. Barry had been hit my a ball of hail in a fatal location. "Barry!" Caitlin shouted into comms. Cisco checked the suit's vitals and they were all zero or flat. "He's gone." He said grimly, not making eye contact with anyone.

Oliver had finally noticed that Barry was down and rushed over, looking for a pulse. There was none. "Damn it!" He shouted and collected Barry and rushed out of the building, trying not to get hit by a cold gun or hail. He drove back to Star Labs with a stone facial expression. "You guys....." Is all he said as he set down his limp form. "I wasn't paying attention, I'm so sorry!" Oliver didn't know what to say. "This isn't your fault, Oliver." Felicity tried to sooth him. "Who's gonna call Rebecca?" Caitlin asked, tears brimming her eyes. "I will." Cisco spoke up and pulled out his phone, dialing Becca's number. "Rebecca, you should come to the lab." Is all he said.

—Present time—

"Was it quick?" She asked in a choked voice after Oliver had finished telling her what had happened. "Yes." He said in a deep voice. Rebecca stood up and turned away from the body and running out of the building, crying. She ran and ran until her lungs burned and her legs ached. The woman stopped doing what she had been taught to do her whole life, run.

No one had followed her, they figured she needed her own time to process and grieve.
