"Jane?"

i set the knife down on the counter as she stares at me blankly, "what are you doing in my apartment..?"

"i know what you did."

i had almost forgotten about everything that's happened but my heart races and my palms sweat as the memories flash through my brain. i cant do that again. for Eddie.

"what are you talking about?" i question as she approaches me slowly and i step back

"They found Henry's body. it didn't make any news head lines so i'm sure you didn't know. but he was torn apart. teeth missing, fingernails pulled out. they chalked it up to animals tearing him apart like Will." she chokes as she says his name, "we all heard about your fight with Henry. and that boy at the party? i saw him looking at Eddie before i left, and he's missing." she steps closer until she's an inch from me, "and Will. He made a move on Eddie."

"do you know how crazy you sound?"

she chuckles and rolls her eyes, "i don't need to prove this to anyone." she puts her hands behind her back, "anyone that even looks at Eddie has gone missing or is dead since you got here."

"you don't understand, Jane." i sigh and run my hand down my face, "just go home. if you think this then why haven't you gone to the police? told anybody else?"

"because i don't want anyone else to be hurt by you!" she shouts, "you took everything from me when you killed Will! and i am prepared to die."

"i'm not going to kill you Jane!" i shout back as she stares me down

"then i will!"

she pulls a knife out from behind her back and i quickly restrain her by her wrist. without even thinking my hand reaches for her knife and i slide it across her throat. my face drops in horror just as hers does too.

i start to shake and throw the knife aside. she falls to her knees, holding her throat as blood slips between her fingers.

"no, no, no!"

i put my hands over hers attempting anything to stop the blood. her eyes start to droop closed as she falls on her side, gasping for breath. a pool of blood starts to form around her as my breathing picks up. i watch as her eyes glaze over and her hand drops.

"no!" i cry as i bang my fist against the floor. i look down at my bloody hands as tears mix into the red liquid.

i hit myself in the head as i try to think. i swore i'd never do this again, and especially not somebody so close to Eddie. as the blood begins to seep into my jeans i come back to reality. i quickly pull out my phone and text Eddie,

stopped by my parents house, i'll be at your house in a few hours

i throw my phone to the side as i quickly get up to grab towels and a suitcase from my closet. i quickly put on a pair of rubber gloves to avoid getting fingerprints on anything. i cry silently as i stuff her body into the suitcase along with her knife, zipping it up and wiping off the blood before dragging it by the front door. i start mopping up the blood and throwing the towels into a garbage bag, going over everything with bleach and a sponge. i throw my spoiled clothes into the garbage bag with the towels and change into something clean.

i could hardly think as i shove everything into the back of my car. she left her bike leaning on the building so i had to walk it a few blocks down and leave it between some garbage bins in a alleyway. it was nearly 2am, the streets were empty and quiet and that at least gave me some time to plan. i end up driving back to the canyon. there were flowers stacked next to the edge of the cliff, mocking me as i approach with the suitcase. she was heavier than she looked. i unzip the suitcase and dump her body next to a bouquet of roses. i slip on another pair of gloves and place the knife she had with her in her hand.
