It was the morning of the second week of living here amoungst the Metekayina people.

So far, it was not going well. Over the course of the first week, my brother got lost in the ocean, started a fight, and got a girlfriend. I mean, well done on the girlfriend part.

Kiri keeps sobbing over spider, going off about how Eywa has something to say, and keeps asking about Roxto.

Tuk, on the other hand, has been crying over, not making friends, eating all the fruit and not saving me any, and destroyed two dolls all because she was bored.

And I have just been witnessing it all. Luckily, things have calmed down, and it is almost the third week of living here.

I found Tuk a couple of friends, so she stopped crying. I got Kiri to talk to Roxto, so she's fine. And well.. my brother is my brother. He's doing great.

Meanwhile, I have yet to make any friends. Not that I need them or anything. It would be nice, though.

I was sitting in my room making sandwich wraps and eating berries when my mother came in. "Hi, mother." I sighed as I continued to wrap the sandwiches.

"What is wrong?" She questioned as she sat down next to me.

"Nothing, I'm just tired." I lied.

"Neteyam, I know it is deeper than that. Please tell me." She begged.

"Fine.." I sighed. "I have no friends, my family is always gone, I miss the forest, and I don't know.. I just feel lonely, I guess."

"Well, have you tried to make some friends?" She asks as she takes some of my berries.

"Yes, mother, I've tried. I just get called a freak and get made fun of every time I do... I see no point." I stated, finished the last of the sandwich wraps.

"You know.. you have to find a mate soon.." She sighs. I nodded. "Have you found anyone you would like to mate with?" I shook my head. "Why not?"

"I don't know.. nobody peaks my interest." I mumbled. She moved a braid behind my ear.

"Maybe you should try praying to Eywa. It helps me in times of distress. Maybe you should." She suggests, getting up and taking the sandwich wraps.

Once she left, I decided maybe I should. 'Dear great mother.. I was wondering if I could make any friends and possibly find a mate..' I prayed. I'm not particularly good at praying, but I try.

I then went to sleep, thinking about my prayer and hoping it would be answered.

-Aonungs pov-

"Aonung! Get your butt down here and eat your dinner!" I heard my mother shout from downstairs in the hut.

I sighed, getting up and quickly walking down the stairs. I sat and picked at my food. "So.. have you found a potential mate yet?" My mother asked. I shook my head. "You know you must find one or we choose for you.."

"I know, mother.. I'm trying. I just need more time.." I sighed.

"Well, hurry up! I wanna retire.." My dad chuckles.

"You should start being nicer to the new people..." Tsireya mumbles.

"Bruh.." I sighed. "They're freaks.. and you only like them because of that guy!" I chuckled.

"No, I don't!" She blushes as she scoots her barstool away from mine.

"I heard he got a girlfriend.." My mother states as she takes a bite out of her fish. Tsireyas eyes widened. She groans.

"Oh, come on! The one guy I actually like to..." She huffed. "I'm finished, I'm going to bed.."

I quickly followed her. I got into her room and shut the door. "What are you so upset about?" I questioned as I sat on the end of her hammock she laid on.

"I'm upset because I really like that guy, and I don't even know his name.." She huffed. "I mean, why did mom not let us teach them instead of Chole.. she's so basic.."

"Damnnnnn." I chuckled. "Get it, sis!"

"I have an idea!" She giggles. I already knew what she was thinking.

"No.."

"Yes!"

"Why?"

"Why not?"

"Because no."

"Pleaseeeeeeee." She begs.

"Fine.. we can hang out with them tomorrow.." I huffed. "Goodnight."

I went to my room and mentally smacked myself to giving into her nonsense. Tomorrow, either starts another fight or maybe a friendship.. who knows.
