She is walking down the countless flights of stairs and passing anyone who dares to cross her path. She made it outside to the general public-something she hadn't done in a long time. Set out on a walk without carrying her weapons or camera. She was just Jade Amelia Thirlwall-the girl who lost her friend to some reckless driver. Not that the public knows of this, but no one knows the actual reality of the wealthiest families in London. They always think they do, but slowly they are breaking their facade of wanting to know everything. They get greedy with everything they slowly unfold before the truth comes out. Instead of Jade wanting to defend most rich families from the news outlets, she lets them ravage the Edwards. She couldn't believe it; the first-ever family she fought for them ended up letting her down.
She was glancing both ways before crossing the street. She wraps the jacket closer around her body as she walks inside the cafe. Scanning her eyes around the room, she searched for her raven-haired friend. That is when she spots Leigh Anne jumping up from her seat the second Jade walks in. Leigh Anne squealed and started running over to Jade. Wrapping an arm around her, Leigh began to bring her over to the table.
"You remember Jesy, right?" Leigh asks as Jade nods as she follows Leigh.
"Of course, how can I forget your friends?" Jade replies as she walks to the counter to order coffee. Since Tyler has his wallet and some money, she takes it out and pays with it.
"Name?" He asks. Shit. I am meeting with Lee Lee here, so I can't use Harper. She thinks as she feels her insides wanting to collapse at that second. Her palms were sweating as she looked at the barista. Rubbing her hands under the counter, she bit her lip and replied, "Jade."
"Hey, you remember me saying something about a party, right?" Leigh-Anne says as she looks at Jade. She readjusted her top as her stomach was showing.
"Yeah, what about it?"
"Since you are going to be my plus one since Jesy has to take care of her son. We're going to that party!"
"Nice. Sure, just as long as the host or hostess isn't going to kill us in the end. I'm good with being your plus-one." Jade teases as she sits in front of Leigh Anne.
"She won't. I hope." Leigh-Anne says as she gets up. "Im going to call the girls. I'll be right back, okay."
She watched as Leigh Anne exited the store and stood by her car. Jade took out her phone and immediately started changing everything and removing accounts, numbers, and profiles. She doesn't need anyone to know what she has done in her free time. Jade wants them to know her as the girl who works as a warehouse worker at a store. She changed her identity online when she heard three dings from the door before seeing Leigh-Anne, Jesy, and the one!
Jade was about to change her address when she heard her name. She exited the booth and looked around for who was calling her name. Spotting it was the barista who tended to her. She made her way over to the counter to collect her drink. She walked back to the table to sit and wait for the girls.
"Hey, Jade!" Leigh-Anne shouts as she walks over to her. "This is Perrie. She is the one that is having the party. It's her birthday in a couple of weeks, and she is inviting all her and those friends' friends."
"Oh, hi," Jade says as she sets her coffee down to admire the blonde's body. Elegant curls fall down the woman's shoulder as she waves at her. She wore a shoulderless black dress and heels. At that moment, Jade felt herself die once more. She isn't the same girl from the night. She wasn't this formal and clean.
"Hi. Your name is Jade, right?" She asks as she pulls out her phone. "I'm doing a VIP list for all of my friends."
"Jade Thirlwall," Jade says with confidence, something she had a lot of these past weeks.
