"Please, I have a family!"
"I didn't ask you about your damn family." Sitting in his lap, Jade let her gloved hands run across his chest. She traced out the bloodied lines where she used her knife to cut minor marks around his abs. She couldn't let herself stop when she noticed the dull red color slowly trickling down to the floor. How he made the cuts look part of his beauty memorized her. But that isn't why she was here. Jade was there for some business deal she took upon herself when her friend could no longer come.
She saw Aaron working out at the gym she went to with Lincoln. She knows that ego-hungry asshole anywhere with his arrogant attitude and taste for cheating on his current girlfriend. Jade was doing whoever his wife was a favor. She was saving the wife and kids from some facing the horrid truth of what he did. He and his friends are still the problems for what they did to her best friend.
"Then why me!" He screamed out as Jade moved the knife across his arm. He winces as the sharp knife moves from his wrist to his shoulder. She is lightly scraping the top layer of his skin.
"Because you were part of the problem. You and your friends could have easily avoided it if someone spoke up about doing it!" Jade jumps up from his lap before walking towards the table. She picked up a sharper knife-one she'll use on him. To keep her ways fresh every time. She slowly walks back. "This could have been just a simple hookup, but I had more reason to have you here, you probably realized."
After more moving and arguing, Jade manages to push Aaron onto the bed. He tried to resist it all and push Jade off of him. That made it worst, but she kept her head calm. She wouldn't risk her entire operation because of some rich kid.
With rope and pure fear, Jade succeeded in tying his hands onto the bedpost. Awe, at what she could accomplish; she looks down at her phone-looking through the famous picture of the five rich kids. She turns off her phone before staring at Aaron as he tries to readjust himself on the bed.
Jade is in front of the man before smiling. "I almost forgot my favorite thing to do..."
She reached behind a counter to grab her camera. She grabbed and flicked it on before smiling at the guy tied to the chair. Wrapping the strap around her neck, she brings it to her face. "Say cheese, Aaron."
She was about to press the button when she felt a hard blow to her side. Crumbling down to the right of Aaron, she snapped her eyes back at him to find him trying to remove the ropes from his wrists. His legs were free from the clutches of the strings. She let go of her camera and quickly grabbed a knife that rested on the counter. Reaching over to hold the blade on the counter, she is pulled back and shoved toward the chair. She crashed into the chair and fell to the floor again. She glanced back up to find Aaron resting against the counter.
She got back to her feet and charged her way toward Aaron. She was ready to jump on him when she felt a sharp pain race through her chest-staggering as she placed a hand on her chest. She slowly looks up to find Aaron frozen in place. A chilling freeze reaches her back and rushes through her body. She could feel the intrusion of the object in her. Everything she wanted to stop and save was crashing at that second. Her hands trembled as she brushed them over her wound. She was glancing back up at Aaron as he shook his head. Jade gradually descended to the ground as she wrapped her hands around her chest.
"No!" She cried out as she stood up in bed. Beads of sweat rushed down her forehead as she glanced around the room. She quickly checked her stomach, sighing in relief when blood didn't sweep out from under her shirt. She gazes around the room to spot piles of papers across the tables and floor. Did she come to Lincoln's apartment? Sitting up in bed, she took another glance at the window to spot a faint silhouette standing outside. Breathing out as she touched her forehead, she shook her head. She killed him. She was standing up from bed and walking over to the sliding door. She stood by Lincoln's side and took the cigarette from his hands into her mouth.
"You're awake. Great, now can you answer your phone? Some Leigh keeps calling you." He casually said as he rested his arms against the balcony's metal railing. The puff of smoke slowly flew away from where they stood. Nodding her head gradually as she took another cigarette drag, she yawned. It wasn't until the sudden realization hit her. It's Leigh, gosh damn, Anne.
"Holy shit! Leigh Anne!" Passing the cigarette to Lincoln, she returned to the apartment. She is searching for her phone inside her coat. She hums in joy when she finds her phone-opening her phone and tapping on the green phone button. She dials her best friend, Leigh Anne. Knowing Leigh, she probably wants to FaceTime. Brushing her hair out with her hands, Jade glances around for the bathroom.
Walking inside and closing the door, she jumps on the sink counter. She is pressing on Leigh's contact and dialing her. She waits for her to respond before setting it down on the counter.
"Jade! Finally! I thought you died on me!" Leigh Anne bursts out as Jade spots the request to video chat. Chuckling as she jumped down from the counter, she picked up the phone.
"Yeah, yeah, so what? I can't get my twelve hours of sleep anymore?"
"Um, no! Girlie! I thought you remembered we were meeting with Jesy at Starbucks to talk about her son's birthday!"
Crap. Jesy. Jesy. Jesy? Who was Jesy again? Jade looks down at her phone as she hits accept to video chat. She is amused to see Leigh in an orange tee with a trendy joke. She spots the familiar leather seats and chatter.
"Um, right," picking up the brush she always leaves in the apartment. She removes the tight knots in her hair and listens to Leigh discuss their plans.
"Hey, Cutie. Where are you?" She asks as she looks around the room. It isn't normal for Leigh to see me in the bathroom that has royal blue and white walls. She has never known about my ties with Lincoln or the gang. She is scratching her head with her left arm. Jade shrugged her shoulder and lied. "Decided to sleep at a different hotel."
"A new hotel?"
Here comes the big question with only three letters.
"Why?" She replies as Jade shrugs her shoulders once more.
"The last one I was at didn't work out. It was too far from where I was planning on working. Plus, it's way better than the last one." Jade grabbed the emergency make-up bag inside the sink's drawer. She was applying her line of eyeliner and lipstick. She decided to let everything else slide behind her.
"Okay, okay. When can you get your butt over here, then? I have another party with another friend, and I want you to be my guest!"
Another party? Who could it be? I would be so happy if it were the beau on the news articles hosting the party. It would make my life so darn easier to plunk her in front of everyone. Showing everyone who these families are. What they were capable of hiding from the rest of the world. Ending the call with Leigh Anne after finding out which Starbucks they are at. Jade hurried to grab her emergency bag of clothes to switch out from the ones she had on after tugging on a tube top with a white outline of a dog and black shorts. Jade went to Lincoln to tell him where she was going.
"Hey! I'll be back, alright!"
"Take my jacket on the coat hanger. It would look much better than the one you plan on taking."
"Alrighty," walking back inside from the balcony, Jade walked over to the coat hanger to leave her long coat on it. She reached over for the black leather jacket that belonged to Lincoln. Jade made her way out of the room and towards Starbucks Leigh planned on doing party preparation and ideas.
