Harper and Ellie Clark never really had any family. Their parents were never around, leaving Harper to work multiple jobs to keep food on the table. She was a mechanic and waitress at a local diner. They had been neighbors to the Grimes their whole lives. Lori made sure they had food and clothes while Rick made sure they were safe and took them to school. Carl always kept them company. When they found out Rick had been shot they were heartbroken. He was like a father to them, they couldn't imagine life without him. When the dead started walking, Lori and Ricks best friend, Shane got all three kids out of there. Along the way they came across the Peletier family and a few other people.
Scarlett only cared about three people. Her little sister, her mom and her best friend, Theo. She absolutely hated her father. She had known Theo since she was seven and he was eight. Some older boys were picking on her and he stopped them. Ever since then they were inseparable. He always tried to protect the three Peletier members from Ed. But he was only a kid, he couldn't do much. His mom had died when he was born and his father was a drunk. He basically lived at the Peletier house. He had to sneak in when Ed was around but he was always there.
