That One Incident

Chapter 2

RECAP:Teacher: "For your last project for this semester, two subjects will be collaborating. You, students, are assigned to create a miniature model of a city inspired by a famous location in any country. The output must be made of recycled materials only as it was the biggest part of the criteria. Each class will feature every design of the students and will be judged. The winner will receive a reward."

Kelly looked at the time and packed her things, while she so she thought

" Well, goodbye sleep, rest, and vacation. This is just great"

Chapter 2: What Is That!???

On the way home, Kelly took the bus going to the same area her apartment is in. Usually, her father picks her up after school but according to her schedule, this week and the upcoming week, she's going to take a regular bus to her home(apartment). Her schedule is composed of her time at her parent's house and her apartment, it is split into not-so-even weeks since her school is too far from their actual house and her parents are getting too busy to take her there every day. Kelly finished her scheduled stay with her parents last week, so for this week, she is going to stay at her apartment.

The bus Kelly took had two stop-overs, it first stopped at the convenience store, dropped off some passengers, and picked up new ones, and the last was at the bus stop near the alley leading to her apartment.

Due to the project, Kelly decided to drop off the bus and stop by a convenience store to buy a few things there. She picked up some markers, stick glue, and a cutter, she also bought snacks like ought some snacks like bags of chips and drinks like soft drinks and Yakult. Above all, Kelly also grabbed something to eat for dinner. She then went to the waiting area outside the store and waited for the bus.

While waiting, Kelly plugged her earphones in and listened to some love songs. She started searching for country locations to get a few ideas she could use to create the project. Not so long after, Kelly found the design and structure she wanted to do.

It was already 7:09 in the evening, and waiting for the bus took longer than expected. Without anything else to do, Kelly just sat in the waiting area listening to some Taylor Swift when an occurrence caught her attention. Not far from the street, a dashing ray of white light could be seen. "What is that?"- Kelly thought. She tried to see it clearly to check whether it was the bus or not. She squinted to confirm and was confused for a moment. "Isn't that late too bright to be the 

bus light?"

She got up from her seat and slowly walked a bit closer to the source of light. She stared at it for quite some time trying to see what it was. At first, it looked like it was some sort of object but as she steps closer, she was shocked, there was an animal-like thing that was stepping out of the 

bright light.

At that moment, Kelly was still unsure of what it truly was so she wanted to take a closer view of it. She started to walk toward it in a slow manner trying to be careful not to alarm whatever it was. She was almost close to seeing what it was when suddenly- it ran. Then she suddenly heard a loud horn from a near distance, this time, it was the bus. Afraid of missing the shot to take the 

bus, she ignored the urge to go follow the creature and rushed to get on the bus.

On the bus, Kelly got opened her phone to try and clear her mind of what happened, there she opened her Wattpad and began reading an updated chapter of a novel she was supporting. The thought of the mysterious image she saw was swept away from her focus and she began to start 

focussing on her project again.

Kelly thought:" I guess my weird hobby of "trying new things" during the strike of the Shashou virus will help me with this structure-making project"

At 8'o clock in the evening, Kelly arrived home. She took the contents of her bag out and put them on her study table. She washed up and ate the dinner she bought. Unlike her routine, Kelly decided to have at least one night to enjoy and do something fun.

Kelly sat on her study table, arranged the things there, and set up a stand for her sketch pad, 

pencils, laptop, and some snacks.

Kelly said:"Well hey, if I'm not going to have a vacation because of the project I might as well leisure for 

tonight."

Kelly did all the fun things she could remember that she had in mind during her school hours and school days. She played Mobile Legends, township, and even tried new games. She sang all 

the songs she wanted to sing not caring if she would disturb her neighbors.

It's already striking midnight and Kelly's still having fun. She ran out of food and so she decided to go out and grab more. Kelly grabbed her keys and jacket and went out. She decided to go to the nearest convenience store. The nearest store was 8 minutes away from the apartment she stays at. Despite the distance, she still went to the convenience store.

On her way to the store, she decided to listen to music. A few moments later, her phone alarmed, she turned it on and saw that it was exactly midnight. She didn't think much of it until a cold, strong breeze hit her, and she saw a ray of purple like-barrier expanding, coming through her way.

Kelly tried to run as quickly as possible but a barrier-like ray still hit her. She got a little bit dizzy due to the impact, but she tried her best to get up.

Once Kelly got up, there it was, a striking white light. The light slowly became more vivid, and as it does, she noticed that the objects around it were being absorbed by it, and as it does, it became wider and nearer.

"OH MY GOD!!!, don't tell me that's a vortex!????"-she yelled with a frightened face and an agitated tone of voice.
