The day of the presentation came, and everyone is panicking because their project was not yet prepared.
As soon as she enters, she saw her classmates already preparing themselves for the big event.
Kelly was nervous about whatever was about to come, she had a feeling that it wasn't going to go as she expected it to be due to similar instances she encountered in the past.
The event went on for 4 hours. Tiring show-offs happened so on and so forth. (To be read in future chapters)
Unfortunately, the feeling of downheartedness was greatly over her self compared with the sense of happiness. Her emotions were so strong and it was pushing her eyes to release tears. Kelly held her breath, blinked as fast as she could, and tried to not let a single drop of tear fall from her eyes.
As soon as the event ended, she immediately went to grab her things inside the classroom and leave. In the process, she grabbed her phone just to receive a text message from her parents saying they couldn't pick her up. Because of this, Kelly had to leave her project in the room 'cause it was so huge to carry with her when she commuted. It was already 7:36 p.m., and no e-bikes or tricycles were going around that area anymore.
On the way home, Kelly kept on thinking about it, how she felt about their performance, and whether or not she should feel bad or good for whatever happened. She felt sorry for herself as she just stood still to see others get acknowledgment for their work while she didn't. On the other hand, she felt a slight relief because her hypothesis was proven to be right.
"Less effort, more achievement"
Kelly thought as she walked her way to the bus station."Can't this day get any more WORSE???" On her way there, a picture of all of the flopped competitions, projects, and events she joined rushed into her mind a flock of ravens. *beep* The images were so vivid she feel as if she was there, they run through her head as if they were trying to distort her from even feeling a single sympathy for what happened. *beep*Kelly was so distracted by what was going on in her, she was no longer paying attention to where she was heading.*beeeeep*-she opened her eyes wide open to see a quick dash of bright red light coming her way.*car crash sounds*Everyone went to check what just happened.
Person #1:
"Oh my, poor child"
Person #2:
"God, she must have not seen the car"
Person #3:(loud noise of a car door slamming) Is she dead!? Did I kill someone!?" with a trembling voice the person said.
Person #4:"MAN! Were you not looking where you were driving?" With a high-pitched tone said the person.
Person #3:
"I SWEAR! I didn't mean it!
*People whispering*
Kelly slightly opened her eyes, to see what was going on. Why was everyone whispering? "Why can't I open my eyes properly? What just happened?
