Simon was distant, cold.
He never got like that unless something went wrong during a mission, but now he was home, he was with you.
You kept insisting and trying to get him to talk to you, to tell you what was making him like that.
You tried to be gentle and understanding, you knew he had a lot of trauma that weighed on him everyday, but he'd been basically ignoring you for three days.

"𝗦𝗶𝗺𝗼𝗻 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗽𝗹𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗲 𝘁𝗲𝗹𝗹 𝗺𝗲 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝘂𝗰𝗸 𝗶𝘀 𝗴𝗼𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗻? 𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀?" You snapped.

He grunted in response, not even looking at you. He was just sitting on the couch watching tv while you were basically begging for an ounce of his attention.

"𝗦𝗶𝗺𝗼𝗻 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗳𝘂𝗰𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗸 𝘁𝗼 𝗺𝗲!" You screamed.
You didn't want it to get like this, but he seemed to not want it any other way.

Still no answer.

You finally snapped.

"𝗜 𝘀𝘄𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝘁𝗼 𝗳𝘂𝗰𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗴𝗼𝗱 𝗦𝗶𝗺𝗼𝗻, 𝗶𝗳 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗱𝗼𝗻'𝘁 𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗮𝗸 𝘂𝗽 𝗶'𝗺 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝘃𝗶𝗻-"

He got up from the couch and his piercing gaze met your eyes. He was practically glaring at you. You've never seen him this angry before, at least not at you.

"𝗦𝗛𝗨𝗧 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗙𝗨𝗖𝗞 𝗨𝗣! 𝗦𝗛𝗨𝗧 𝗨𝗣!" He interrupted your ranting yelling at you with a voice tone he would usually only use with his enemies.

You backed up as he was slowly walking up to you, your back hitting the nearest wall

"𝗗𝗼 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗸𝗻𝗼𝘄 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗽 𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴? 𝗔𝗹𝗹 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗱𝗼 𝗶𝘀 𝗿𝘂𝗻 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗺𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗱𝗮𝘆, 𝗶 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱'𝘃𝗲 𝗳𝘂𝗰𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗱 𝗮𝘁 𝗯𝗮𝘀𝗲"
He said through gritted teeth.

Tears formed in your eyes, and you felt like you were about to explode.
His eyes softened at the sight of you like that, he didn't mean to say it.

Before he could speak you cut him off abruptly

"𝗙𝘂𝗰𝗸 𝘆𝗼𝘂."
That was all you could make out before your voice could get shaky , before the tears could stream down your cheeks.

"𝗜- 𝗳𝘂𝗰𝗸, 𝗜'𝗺 𝘀𝗼𝗿𝗿𝘆 𝗯𝗮𝗯𝘆, 𝗜 𝗱𝗼𝗻'𝘁 𝗸𝗻𝗼𝘄 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗵𝗮𝘀 𝗴𝗼𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗻 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗼 𝗺𝗲-"
Regret hit him like a train.

You didn't answer, you ran upstairs and locked yourself in your shared bedroom.

"𝗢𝗽𝗲𝗻 𝘂𝗽 𝘆/𝗻, 𝗽𝗹𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗲, 𝗶'𝗺 𝘀𝗼 𝗳𝘂𝗰𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝗼𝗿𝗿𝘆"
He kept apologizing while banging on the door, but you were already packing your stuff.

After a couple of minutes you finally opened the door and his eyes narrowed.
You had two big bags filled with your clothes and important belongings.

𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴.
𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗵𝗶𝗺.

"𝗟𝗼𝘃𝗲, 𝗱𝗼𝗻'𝘁...𝗽𝗹𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗲.." he choked out dropping to his knees, now it was his turn to cry.

You looked at him in the eyes, tears wetting his face, those puppy dog eyes pleading you to stay.

You turned around quickly, knowing that if you didn't you would eventually get lost in those eyes.

You walked downstairs careful not to drop your bags, and he was staring at you from the top of the staircase.
You could feel him looking at you, those eyes once so captivating made you now feel disgusted with yourself whenever he looked at you.

He made you hate yourself.

He was waiting for you to turn around, he wanted you not go so badly, but he couldn't scream for you, his voice would just come out as a sob.

𝗧𝘂𝗿𝗻 𝗮𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱.
𝗧𝘂𝗿𝗻 𝗮𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱.
𝗧𝘂𝗿𝗻 𝗮𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱.

He hoped with all his being that you would.

But you didn't.

You shut the door behind you with a loud bang, leaving him a sobbing mess on the floor.
