He brought his hand to your cheek, checking your temperature
"She's getting weaker and weaker everyday..." the doctor spoke to simon quietly, worried to see his reaction
Simon didn't say anything.
He couldn't say anything."Listen, i want to be honest with you.
If i were you, I'd give my goodbye now that she can still hear you."
He couldn't believe it.
You were dying.Guilt, anger and sadness were devouring him from the inside as he kept blaming himself for what hapoened to you.
He should have never told you to go with him on that mission. He should have never did."This will be our last mission, then we'll leave the military. Together." He promised to you.
He brought you with him because he was paranoid that if he left you at base he would somehow lose you, little did he know it would be the opposite. You were supposed to get married, to have children and live together forever, have your happy little life, the life you both deserved.
But here you are, on the hospital bed in a fucking coma.
You looked so lifeless, even though your heartbeat was still going as he listened to it on the monitor.
"I'm so sorry..." he whispered while leaning close to your face before pressing a soft, gentle kiss on your lips.
You were as still as a statue, he missed your smile, your laugh, your voice...
He missed you.
So fucking much. His heart skipped a beat as he heard the monitor beeping uncontrollably, signaling that yours just stopped working.
You stopped fighting.
There was nothing he could do anymore, the love of his life was gone.
And it was all his fault
He crawled into the bed and took in his hands the pill bottle of painkillers that the doctor previously placed on the bedside table next to you.
He took 1.
Hoping it would take all his pain away.
Then he took 2.
The pain was still there.
He eventually swallowed the whole bottle.
Nothing eased the pain, except the thought that he would soon be with you, wherever you were.
He hugged you tightly, and shut his eyes closed, 𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿.
