𝐈𝐓 𝐇𝐔𝐑𝐓.
it hurt like nothing else hearing those words come from his girlfriends mouth.

his worst nightmare had actually happened.
cora hated him, hated him more than words could describe, and that was what made ethan's heart truly crumble to a thousand pieces.

he loved her more than anyone.
she was the only light in his world full of darkness, and now she would never see him the same way she used to ever again.

even as cora sobbed her heart out on the floor, mourning the ethan she used to know, she knew a part of her would always love him despite what he did, and she hated herself for it.

"i always knew you loved a weakling." wayne said, a cruel grin on his face as he examined the young girl crying with her back against one of the glass cabinets, his eyes brightening as he observed her horrified expression.

ethan clenched his fists, not caring about the sharp pain in his palms from the pressure of his nails digging into his skin.

he wanted to punch his father straight across the face, and make him bleed until he begged for him to stop.

he couldn't stand the fact that he had made him do all this shit, and yet he was still going to disrespect him as if ethan hadn't given him the revenge he had wanted so desperately.

"wait. if it's you two, that leaves...—" sam paused before continuing her sentence, shaking her head slightly as her eyes watered.
"mindy?"

the second ghostface suddenly began to remove their hood, followed by the mask that revealed to them the most unexpected turn of tables.

"hey, roomies.." quinn's soft voice spoke, a sick smile plastered on her face as she examined the reactions of her once friends and roommates.

cora couldn't believe what she was seeing.
quinn was supposed to be dead, well dead.
how could she have faked her death? who's blood was coating her clothes at the night of the apartment attack?

her head was spinning with questions she wanted answered, and she felt as if she couldn't breath from the shock pulsing through her veins— caused by quinn's reveal and her boyfriends betrayal.

"didn't see that one coming, did you." quinn said darkly, her already brown eyes seemingly deepening as her words spilled from her mouth.

"yeah, because you died!" tara hissed, her gaze reasonably hostile as she stared down the red-head with undying hatred.

"kinda didn't..— it was a good way to get off the suspect list." quinn said, earning a rather psychotic chuckle from her father, who reached forward and patted her on the back gently.

"yep, and then i just made sure i was first on the scene so i could switch her body for a fresh one. little fake blood, prosthetic, you'd be amazed at what a grieving father can get away with." he said, his two children turning away and walking elsewhere, immediately peaking cora's interest as she watched after ethan.

he turned around for a moment, looking her in the eyes with much difficulty.
eventually, he managed to wink at the girl, trying to alert her of his plan.
