Everybody in this world is looking for a way to survive, some people are not just surviving but living in luxury or in their own illusion of happiness, as for the others.. they'll do anything they can to survive another day, sometimes without having anyone to depend on.

That's how I got here, standing in the open field full of people about to suffer the same fate as me for the next 3 years, the cadet corp.

The sun was hitting my eyes to which I scowled even deeper 'can't believe this was my best option..' I look around just with my eyes, to not catch the attention of the instructor that's been yelling his balls off so hard that it looked like his eyes are gonna pop.

There are some people here that look like they had no idea what they got themselves into, as for some others.. they look like they've seen some stuff alright.

I notice a few people I recognized from my home. That brunette dude that always got into fights that I loved to watch, the Black haired girl that always came to the rescue and a blonde dude that was always the reason those two would get into those fights, to protect him. I have no idea what he's doing here..

Just then I get jump scared when the screaming mummy appears out of nowhere in front of my face. I stare at him with furrowed eyebrows while he studies my face, after a good minute he walks away.

I let out a relieved sigh trough my nose and continue to look ahead of me. I dart my eyes around, feeling like someone was staring in the back of my head.

I had to turn my head around completely to see who it was. It was a blonde guy, pretty tall and quite bulky with a stern expression on his face, not taking his eyes of me.

I give him a confused look after he didn't move his eyes away. 'The fuck is his deal?' We hold eye contact for a good few minutes, but I quickly turn back around when I hear the mummy scream again.

This time he's screaming at a girl that was eating a potato in the middle of the introduction, it didn't look like she minded at all which made me smirk.

He made her run till the sun set, after a while he let us go our ways. I headed to the cabin where I was suppose to stay for next few years,no one was there yet so I quickly threw my bag on the top bunk to claim it as mine. I climbed up and dug trough it, there wasn't much so I quickly found my casual clothes and changed into them.

I wore a white shirt, sleeves rolled up to my elbows and a brown skirt that was down right to my knees

After that I went outside to explore, if I'm gonna be here for a while, might as well get to know the terrain.

The sunset came and with that I came back, it was supposed to be dinner time so I headed to the mess hall. I was a little late so most of the seats were already full, except for one.

I took a seat at the almost empty table as the girl sitting there looks at me with a not so welcoming expression, she had blonde hair in a bun with side bangs that hanged beside her blue eyes piercing through my soul.

"Relax, I don't wanna talk to you. Just wanted a quiet place to eat my dinner." I answer to her unsaid question as I start eating, she continued to stare at me for a few seconds before she started eating too.

I'm not really looking for any friends, I've had enough of that shit. All my life I've seen people around me being happy with their friends, I've never gotten that. The only friends I had stabbed me in the back without any remorse, why do it again?

The dinner in silence was nice until some people interrupted. There was a bunch of people around Eren's table questioning him. I started paying attention to understand what was going on.
