Dave and Sky (Skave)

(Before I talk about them I wanted to point out how disgusted Sky looks in that pic and also the fact that their ship name sounds like a disease you get from being intimate with another person💀)

Okay so I wanted to talk/rant about how stupid this ship is and why the characters in this ship suck. 

Sky

She's weird because I don't feel anything for her character. I think she's pretty basic which isn't a bad thing but for a show with many weird personalities I feel like she could've been a bit more interesting. She was level-headed and pretty rational but then you look at someone like Leonard who thought he was a whole ass wizard, it just looks off. She doesn't draw my attention right away how some others did. Putting her in a season with big personalities, like Max, just makes her look boring. I feel like she's a bit like Zoey because whenever I think about those two I just feel bored😭😭 

On a positive note, she did help balance the season out and make sure that there were a few normal characters. I think for the season she got put into she did a great job though. Sky did feel realistic, except for the Dave situation. Maybe it's just me but I wouldn't have let a random boy "fall in love" with me and then not tell him to back up. Like I would have said something, even if it was rude. She didn't do that and I get she was constantly cut off but be fr. How long would it take you to YELL at someone for cutting you off? I don't have the patience nor the time to just get cut off and proceed to take that. It makes me get the the vibe that she was playing with him for a bit. Like she for sure was messing with him and then once it got weird she acted like a complete victim.  

I feel like she was okay but not great. I only think of her because of the thing with Dave if I'm being honest😅 She just isn't as memorable on her own for me

Dave

He's not that bad to me. I understand why people don't like him but I don't fully agree that he's one of the worst characters on the show. 

Before I talk about his obsession with Sky, let me just say some positives. He was pretty funny. I don't think he was hilarious but he was pretty funny lowkey. His personality wasn't as horrible as some people say it was. Someone said he was annoying because he didn't participate due to not wanting to get dirty. Didn't he have Germaphobia? Even if he didn't, that's a really unnecessary reason to not like him...that's like if I said I thought Cody was annoying because he had allergies.

He had some moments where he'd be annoying but he never made me really hate him. I think his obsession with Sky was funny. Obviously it wasn't cute, like it REALLY wasn't cute, but it made me laugh so hard💀 That one scene where he starts howling makes me laugh every time I watch it because like, wtf is wrong with him?? Like somethings wrong with him but it makes me laugh because of how weird it is. 

I think he really did like Sky but at some point he just couldn't deal with rejection, especially in front of everyone. He took it over the top but I can't hate him because of that. I can't stop saying this but it made me like Sky even more because it was funny. Like imagine a whole guy getting on a rock and he just starts howling because of you. Like dude, imagine how weird the vibe with everyone was, knowing Dave was like the Sierra of TDPI. 

I can't even write about this anymore because I can't stop laughing. Like somethings wrong with me for sure because like bro imagine his family seeing him acting all crazy over some girl named Sky😭😭 This isn't even funny but like it is 

Skave

Someone said Dave didn't give Sky a chance to reject him but like bro. Why would he stand there and be like, "Sky I really like you but go ahead and break my heart." Like never in my life have I seen someone just tell the person to reject them.

 I thought if someone doesn't like you, they'd tell you without warning? Like why did Dave need to LET her reject him? Why couldn't she just....I dunno....do it? I understand trying to be nice but at a certain point you just gotta do what you gotta do. Also, Sky isn't a dog so she doesn't need anyone to LET her do anything. The only people she needed to let her do something was the writers. What she needed was the writers to let her be a strong woman and reject him right away. 

Also, didn't Sky have a boyfriend? Maybe she took a while to tell him that because she was nervous about her boyfriend seeing it but I feel like it'd be worse to string some guy along, knowing your significant other was watching this. Couldn't that cause issues in a relationship AND if you cared about the relationship in the first place, you'd want to stop the flirting right away. 

I think this ship is horrible and wouldn't work and the characters aren't great. Sky has her flaws and as everyone knows, so does Dave.
