Hadley parked her car in the parking lot before turning the key and stepped out. Like others in the bar, she wasn't wearing her uniform because she spent the last four days, driving straight to California. Instead, she was wearing a pair of Jean shorts with a white cropped top and a green button up over her shoulders. She stretched before standing straight up and heading to the doors.Hadley gripped on the cold metal and swung the door open. Her right arm went up to her aviators and placed them on top of her head. The brown haired girl looked around to see her best friend in the back, eyes meeting eyes. The two pushed through the crowd and practically jumped on each other. Coyote picked her up just a little before setting her back down on her feet.
"I didn't know you were coming back!" Coyote exclaimed.
"I didn't know you were either!" Hadley said.
"There's a whole bunch of us who are going by the pool tables." He picked up his finer and pointed behind him, wiggling his eyebrows.
"Show me the way peach."
Hadley and Javy make their way back to the pool table, Javy stopping to introduce Hadley to a few of his friends. They reached a table with bar stools, he sat down as Hadley stood up leaning against the cold metal table.
"So, I heard you got yourself another air to air kill." Javy spoke up. "How many is that in total?"
"Seven Jav."
"Well who do we have here?" The one and only Jake Seresin made his way to the table where they were at. "Javy I didn't know you had a girlfriend." He said putting four bottles of beer on the table.
Javy and Hadley look at each other and immediately start laughing. Hadley composes herself way before Javy gets even close to.
"No, we're just friends." Her southern accent rang through Jakes head.
"Oh in that case, Jake Seresin. Pleased to meet you." He held out a hand only to be left hanging.
Javy turned from laughing almost on the ground to serious right away, he slightly hit Jakes shoulder, "Dude. No. She's like my little sister."
"Well that don't stop me." Jake winked at the girl.
"No, I don't date Naval Aviators." Hadley told the man who was hitting on her, remaining eye contact.
"How did you know I'm one of them?"
"Because I just know, and because I'm one myself. I know one when I see one peach."
"You're a Naval Aviator." Jake said not believing it.
"You're looking at someone who is outranking you by far in confirmed air to air kills." Javy said in Hadley's defense.
Jake looked at Javy and then back at Hadley, "by how much?"
"How many do you have?" Hadley questioned.
"One."
"Out ranking you by six." Hadley patted his shoulder before walking off to the bar to get a beer. She was surprised when she didn't have to pay for it because someone made Penny rang the bell. Hadley walked back over with a beer in her hand, salted rim and a lime at the top.
By the time the girl got back over there, Javy and Jake were returning from throwing out the old man who couldn't pay for his tab. "You up for a round?" Hadley questioned, motioning to the pool table at Javy.
"Hell nah! I don't want to be embarrassed by you tonight!" He joked back. "Play Jake, never won against him." He pointed at Jake standing next to him.
Hadley raised her eye brows at the man before chalking the tip of the cue. Jake broke the rack but didn't get any in the hole. Hadley waked around the pool table sinking a few solids before it was Jakes turn again.
