I:
Thinking back, things couldn't have gone any smoother. Even though the night is perfect, you can see how much closer the moon is! The dying planets, called stars, they're extra twinkly tonight too. Although my heart is racing, I'm calm because I can't believe I've successfully rescued my triplet siblings! To top things off I got the money, documents & family heirlooms that were stolen from us. My mama would probably be disappointed by the way I've handled everything. Sadly if my dad wasn't being hexed, by that knockoff witch, he'd be proud himself, of how I fought and defended the honor of our family & family's name! Lemme give you an up-to-date explanation......I'm Niara-Eshe Sasaki, and I'm finally 21 years old and recently made some of the hugest discoveries of my life! I'm born of mixed Western Kenyan( Kisii Tribe) & Japanese descent. [My birth father is Japanese, mama didn't know who he was until she cast a collection of him into the spirit world. She was able to get her revenge, that's how she met Dad.] I can speak both languages very well, as my mama taught me, as well as 6 other languages. She taught me how important and powerful I am, but NEVER explained how. She taught me how to care for myself, to be kind and helpful, but also how to defend myself and my family as well. [Her & dad were HUGE on putting family first and the protection of such is of the highest urgency.] She was such a beauty with long beautiful thick curly black knee-length hair and a small cleft in her chin. I LOVE looking at myself in the mirror because of her! She made me adore my deep chocolate skin, almond hazel eyes, high cheekbones, wide slightly crooked smile, broad nose, super long eyelashes, with a dash of perfectly lined brows and a round clef chin. I have long black full curly (mid-back length) hair, just like Mom's. I'm tall and very shapely (just like her), I have slender fingers and wide hips (I haven't borne children or been with a man yet though) my arms and legs are nice long, and toned while also full. Through any circumstances, my mom
often taught me to take pride in everything about myself!
So I doI was 12 when my mama got with the triplets dad. And he was so kind quiet stern but fair. He NOT treated me like his own. He even was helping Mama to find me a suitor by my 16th birthday. To NO avail because I didn't look a certain way; although my bride price went from exorbitant bride prices to somewhat relaxed terms, at my request! So when I turned 14 Dad adopted me, though they still looked at me as a suitor. By the time I was 16, Mom had the triplets. She and Dad were filled with so much joy. To be honest, I was more excited than they were, mostly, because all the attention wasn't on me anymore!! As soon as I heard the news I got my check and left work early to go get my new babies some nice things. Dad gave me the usual rundown about being careful but told me to hurry to come to meet my new siblings. I ALWAYS thought Mama to be overly paranoid and Dad just supported her because he worshiped her; he did always call her "Waga Megami" {My Goddess}. Dad only spoke Japanese if necessary, but when speaking lovingly to Mama it was mandatory. Otherwise, he was generally silent, observant, militant, and always learning. [NOW that I think about it, Jabali is dad on an upgrade.]
I got to the market and ran straight to my favorite vendor. She was nursing her baby but looked at me with deep curiosity and amusement. She then said in Swahili "Ah, vuta pumzi mtoto wangu! ni nzuri leo, lazima ufurahie. haraka ya nini?" "Ni mama yangu!!" {Ah, breathe my child! it's good today, you have to enjoy it. What's the hurry?" "It's my mother!!} Her eyes suddenly widened with fear, as she exclaimed excitedly "La! walimkamata? nilitegemea siku hii isingefika, lakini bado tuko hapa! sawa, kwanza-". {NO! Did they arrest him? I hoped this day would never come, but here we are! ok, first -"} I had to interrupt because time was wasted "Unazungumzia nini? mama alikuwa na watoto wapya, kuna watatu! kwa hivyo ningependa blanketi zako tatu bora na nguo tafadhali." {"What are you talking about? Mother had new children, there are three! so I would like your three best blankets and clothes please."} Her whole face suddenly changed to an expression of joy, she got everything together and swiftly handed them to me. She rejected payment and then said "ni zawadi, mwambie mama yako nimesema salamu." {"It's a gift, tell your mother I said hello."} So I thanked her again and ran off, I figured that I'll overpay her for something later.
