"When it's time for you to venture out, don't let fear have you looking back at what you're leaving behind"As I packed my final few belongings into the proper boxes, I looked around my now empty room. Moving to New England will be a bittersweet adventure for me; bitter, because I've always lived in Texas. This is where I grew up, so it will naturally always be my home. This move is also sweet, though, because I get a fresh start at life. Not many people get to say they get to go back to their past and do things differently.
"Evie, lets go!", I could hear my mom shout from downstairs as I gave the memory-filled space one last glance. My parents would be coming back next week to finish loading the furniture, but as for me, I have a high school to attend.
"Coming, mom!", my trembling hands touched the doorknob for a final time before I grabbed my four suitcases, with much struggle, and moved to the staircase.
I decided that I wasn't about to attempt all four at the same time, so I sat on my bum, and one by one sent the luggage hurling down the steps.
"What the hell are you doing?", My older brother Quinn asked. I just sheepishly smiled at him and continued to sit on the floor.
"You see, Quinnster, you can't just not have fun on the last day in your childhood house. Therefor, we're going mattress surfing together one last time", my brother just shook his head and smiled at me as he grabbed his mattress that was waiting to be loaded onto the truck.
"You, my little sister, are full of great ideas", Quinn has always been my best friend, with the exception of his twin brother, Tyler. We're like the three musketeers, and we can't be easily separated. Every time something bad happens, wether it be a heartbreak or we're just feeling down, you can find us in the living room at 2am comforting each other.
I giddily watched as Quinn readied the mattress for me at the top of the stairs, and with a swift motion of his arm, I was sent in the same direction as my baggage. I always get butterflies in my stomach when I do this. God, it's such a rush. I can understand that we have another two-story house in England, but I sure will miss it here.

A half hour and four surfs later, we were all stocked up and in the moving truck, on our way to the airport. As we pulled out of the driveway, I couldn't help the couple of tears sliding down my cheek as I put my hand up to the window. And off we went, leaving our lives behind.←→←→←→←→←→←→←→←→←→←→←→
