Nakayama's POV
The sports festival has arrived, I was a little scared but I didn't want to show it.
"The day has come, are you ready?" Kiri asked hugging me from behind.
"I hope so," I said giggling and holding his arms.
We went out on the field for the obstacle race. Miss Midnight had Bakugo go up to say the school anthem to the crowd. All he said was that he was going to win and everyone booed him. I facepalmed at what he said because I knew he was going to say that.
When we were about to start the race I was deathly afraid that my legs weren't in the condition to do this.
When we started I just went for it and I was in constant pain. My legs felt like they were going to give out any second. I kept running no matter how much pain I was in. Everyone got stuck in the corridor and Todoroki froze everyone. They were all stuck but everyone in our class was able to avoid it. I slid off the ice and kept running, and then a bunch of entrance exam robots showed up. Todoroki froze them all and kept running but then they broke through it. One of them attacked me but I dodged and jumped on its arm. I climbed up to its head and started kicking the sh*t out of it. Then it finally broke and I stayed on top of it as it fell. I kept running and another one attacked me but I jumped forward and rolled to avoid the attack and kept running forward.
As I was running I felt like I was starting to have trouble breathing but I had to keep going so I had to push through it.
Then a huge cavern came up and a few people had crossed already. This is where my legs had to help me which may be a bit of a problem. There were some places I could land to get across because they were very close to each other. There were some tight ropes to walk across but I was a little scared of that.
I took a deep breath and thought back to when I was in gymnastics.
This is just like balancing across a beam I can do this.
I started to cross them and when I did lose my balance I stood on my hands to save myself. It took a lot of core strength but I finally made it across.
Then a minefield came up, and I was afraid of this as well.
This will be fine, if it does launch me, I can use acrobatics to get across.
I took a deep breath and went for it. I walked at first and then I lost my balance. So I tried to save myself by using my hands. I started using my acrobatics as I was hitting the mines. I used it to repel me forward, I finally got to the end and crossed the finish line.
I collapsed to my knees, trying to catch my breath. When I looked at my placement I was surprised. I guess when I used the mines and my acrobatics it made up all the places I was behind. So I took 8th place.
I felt someone put their hands on my shoulders and I looked back to see Kirishima.
"I saw that Nakayama, that was so awesome!" He said with big smile.
"Thank you," I said with a smile and he helped me up.
I caught my breath as everyone else finished the race.
Then Miss Midnight explained the next event, which was the Calvary Battle. We had to form a team with a maximum of 4 people. Our placement in the obstacle race would determine how many points we had. We were given headbands with the point number and our team had to collect other headbands to get more points and move on. We had time to form our teams for the battle. Kirishima came up to me with Bakugo and Sero behind him.
Kirishima's POV
Bakugo, Sero, and I formed a team and I wanted Nakayama to be on our team so I went up to her."Nakayama you should be on our team," I said excitedly.
